The final event of the Web.com Tour regular season is stressful enough without a bizarre and unlikely incident that went down in the second round.
There were rumblings on social media Friday evening that Kevin Stadler had an unfortunate accident at the WinCo Foods Portland Open involving a golf club and a fan......
(Excerpt) Read more at golfweek.com ...
Kevin Stadler lost his temper, slammed his club into the ground, the club head broke off the shaft, ricocheted off his ankle and hit a spectator in the head..........
For what it's worth, you will not find one video of this incident on the internet. The PGA has been very quick in suppressing this "accident"...........
And to think that the only player on the PGA that loses his temper is Tiger Woods..........
Hope he paid for the medical bills.
“accidentally hits a spectator”.
It might have hit a spectator “accidentally”, but it didn’t “accidentally” break. He slammed the club to the ground in a temper fit after a bad shot
kinda poor choice to be a spectator so close to golf, hockey, baseball etc sports where things can fly a distance. It’s happened many times where people are unexpectedly struck whether actua gamel play or as in this case agitation on the part of player, spectator has no need to be there and is only there because they want to be that close to action.
I thought he quit tournament golf because they changed the putter rules. But the article says he had a hand injury.

But I thought Golf was about integrity and honor. :<
Integrity and honor, yes; not getting mad as hell and tossing your clubs, no.
The broken club put the stitches in the spectator’s head?
He should sue the broken club for practicing medicine without a license.
Must ban golf clubs to make everyone safe. /s
I don't think your argument is going to hold up when the wrongful injury lawyers get involved........LOL!
About the only exciting thing that could happen at a golf tournament.
I always wondered that people would actually go watch golf.
He should be banned for that, and arrested as well.
Did it go ping when it hit them?
