So if your 9mm met the two dogs profiled on this thread so far, ‘it’ would shoot them.

Sorry, every pitbull in the world needs to be put down.

We inherited a pit bull puppy, and unfortunately, I have to agree. He is the smartest dog I've ever seen, can perform MANY tricks, good-looking dog, full of energy, puts on a helluva show with a frisby or tennis ball, and protective as hell when it comes to the family. He's everything you would ever want in a dog. But, for some reason, he will twist off on you like a light switch when he thinks you are doing something threatening. If it weren't for the fact that he's a small pit bull (60 lbs) and I can bulldog him down to the ground, I would have had to put him down long ago. Like others say, he's like a light switch. He can be wagging his tail with his ears back one second, and bite the crap out of you the next. If I had known what he was going to be like when he grew out of puppy stage, I would have ended it then. But, my family loves him. He's seven now, and has chilled out quite a bit. But, as he gets older and becomes cranky, I know the day is going to come when I'm going to have to drag him out the back door and put a bullet in his head. If you are thinking about a pit bull, don't go there. I don't care how docile, or smart, or good looking the parents are. Don't go there.

Is there some level of qualified training that these dogs must have to do this service? Do you know? I am glad they seem to be helping people.

Any pit bull that approaches, threatens, or attack’s me or my family will meet with a swift death. All pit bulls should be put down, until then, kept penned and muzzled. Put death penalty on owners if their pit bull injures or kills someone. No exception.

They may come across as nice now but as they get older, tired, and temperamental, you don’ t want to mess with them.

#3: "Kill them all. I’m serious."

They are the muslims of the dog world. These killers are marketed by the puppy mills as "good dogs" until sudden jihad syndrome strikes.

3. Rhino

The male pit bull that hails from the Villalobos Rescue Center in New Orleans,
also the location of Animal Planet’s show Pit Bulls and Parolees, has been featured on the television show.
He’s also making headlines recently for being chosen as the celebrity mascot of the New Orleans VooDoo arena football team.
His jersey number is K9, and he makes public appearances during the games and halftime shows.

Villalobos moved to Louisiana from California about a year ago and continues to film the popular show at its new location.
The staff cares for, adopts out and receives an astonishing number of dogs.
Rhino is just one of many pit bulls that have been helped by the rescue, and he looks quite happy to represent them.

Thst statement shows how little you know....no disrespec and I mean thatt

Rottweiler’s and hounds and shepherds and cold weather dogs are all more pack driven

Pits are much more dog aggressive than most dogs

The ones in my family and extended family are with one exception

Are pitiful guard dogs and would let the Manson family in the house at 2am

But they have to be trained on dog aggression not question of that

Which is true of many terriers and working dogs with a bite

Pit bulls are good dog fighters no question of that either but many dogs are dangerous just Pits are so common now and proliferated by thugs and disability trailer park dopehead whites ...who are related now via fat white girls and all their diverse babies and no husbands

Anywhere from 5-20 million pitbulls or more depending who’s counting

15-30 deaths annually attributed to dogs considered by whomever is counting as pitbulls or staffies.....out of that number

Rottweiler’s are second.....and likely more proportional killers

Who bites more people....Goldens and many other breeds who of course are less formidable

Chihuahuas nite most frequently and it’s a good thing they aren’t very big

I’m more familiar with these dogs and other so called scary dogs than the average poster here.

I’d rather be attacked as I’ve said before by a rangey 55 pound feral pit than a big Dobie or Rott or Dogo or Kangol

My personal opinion is Kangols are the title holder for most deadly dog out there but they’re aren’t that many

Freepers like things simple..I got that

But weren’t all going along with you

I keep my dogs on my property or in my truck....you know the one with the Mississippi flag on the back

I hope no one comes around my property or my dogs to kill them

I’d hate to kill a man over an animal

Even a south hating race baiter freeper

Oh yes...wolf tickets are free till cashed iin

This ain’t just about pitbulls

It’s about any dog people fear here...I’ve watched these threads a long time

Folks here stay away from me we’ll both be happier

Hardly amazing when you consider that the country has fallen so far morally and mentally. FR & it’s posters & trolls are just following the trend.

If I had $10 for every article posted here in the last 15 years when a Pitbull kills somebody, I’d have at least enough to support a one year vacation. Yet, idiots defend the dog breed.

Consider getting advice from a professional trainer and/or a vet.

I don’t think it is a given that he will become crankier with age.
As you say he has improved, he may continue that trend as he gets older.

I’m not too keen on dragging a dog outside and putting a bullet in its head.
When the time comes, do it at a vet’s with the family present.
You say your family loves the dog. Most vets have a special private ‘living room’ where the family can gather and say goodbye and the dog can pass peacefully.

I have the ‘10 Commandments for a Responsible Dog Owner’ on my home page.
The final one states...

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say “I can’t bear to watch it” or “Let it happen in my absence”. Everything is easier for ME if you are there. Remember, I love you.

My corgi was nearly killed by a pit she had been friends with for years. We sat outside at community table for iced tea many afternoons and the neighborhood pups played together.

One afternoon after playing, the pups lay down at our feet. They had done this same thing month after month for a couple of years. Nothing was different. The pit sat up and her head kind of swayed, she looked at my corgi and lunged for her throat. It took 2 strong men to get her off. We rushed my dog to the vet, she had surgery and eventually her throat, neck and shoulder healed.

The pit was the only one I’d ever trusted. Friendly, funny, often sweet. But she had that inexplicable pit moment and became a monster. I had another dog attacked by a pit many years before, pit jumped the fence but my dog ran through the doggie door which the pit couldn’t get through.

They’re banned in my county but I see plenty of them. Pit bulls cannot be trusted. I don’t care if it’s in their genes or what the owners do or don’t do, I don’t want them near me, or my dogs.

These poor creatures have earned their reputation.

There are good folks who own the breed that I disagree with. It’s on them and their conscience when the dog attacks or kills somebody - because it will eventually.

Nobody defends cockroaches because they are nasty, disease ridden and dirty.

Pit bulls are worse, because to kill is in their DNA.

They are a reflection of the new meanness that Americans have towards each other. It’s a subtle evil. They are already banned in over a dozen countries worldwide and in several states domestically.

To be blunt, I’m against them for the same reasons I’m against abortion. Because both kill innocent people.

It’s not the dog.

It;’s the owners.

Trashy people are drawn to pit bulls.

Consider getting advice from a professional trainer and/or a vet.

I'm always open to professional advice, but I have dog training experience as I trained bird dogs for years. And, I have trained some smart bird dogs, but this pit bull is smarter. What makes him dangerous is that he's like a light switch, and he gives no warning. No growl, no posture. He just twists off and bites. And, even though I knew of the nature of the breed, I thought if I applied my training experience, I could make him a safe dog to be around. In the end, what I ended up with was a highly-trained really smart pit bull who still twists off without warning. I barrier-trained him really well, and he still heals on my command. That is, when he isn't in the middle of his Tasmanian devil imitation. It's in their DNA. They are either on or off when it comes to aggression. They know no middle ground.

I don’t think it is a given that he will become crankier with age. As you say he has improved, he may continue that trend as he gets older.

I hoped for that, but he is starting to show a bit of crankiness. However, he isn't taking it to extremes yet.

You say your family loves the dog. Most vets have a special private ‘living room’ where the family can gather and say goodbye and the dog can pass peacefully.

Thanks for the tip. I will keep that in mind.
