Never knew of her public breakdown, but I saw a middle aged school teacher at my high school have a public breakdown at a varsity baseball game.
I was heartbreaking, and I didn’t really care for her as a teacher, but she wasn’t a bad teacher. I just didn’t like English class.
She had some emotional attachment to one of her students (I don’t know if it turned out they had an affair, or she was just fixated on saving him from himself, or what) but he was on the varsity baseball team playing the game, and she ended up on the field, following him around the bases, crying out to him and saying stuff...they ended up having to take her away. Never saw her again after that.
One of the saddest, and most pitiful things I had ever seen in my life up to that point, and even today. There was something completely unsettling about it.
I have heard that men in war can become almost hostile to someone who is losing it, because it is contagious and many men feel they may not be that far away from being that person...I think that is what I felt watching that poor woman...I felt that anyone could go over the edge like that, someone you knew, and it greatly disturbed me.
Granted, in her case, I don’t think drugs were involved, but whether or not they were, it was very sad to see. I never want to see that again.
bipolar is a tough one ... i had a good friend, a very intelligent person, kill himself because of that ... it’s also not unusual for people with mental diseases like that self-medicate in highly inappropriate ways ...
If Jesus Christ were being interviewed by Mueller, no doubt Mueller would have also found Him guilty. There is no hope for anyone else less morally pure. The outcome of such an interview with Mueller is already decided. There is no defending yourself before a man as corrupt as Mueller.
Sorry. Wrong thread!

I always thought she was very pretty.
Very sad. I had the pleasure of directing her in “One Woman’s Courage.” She had once been at the pinnacle of Hollywood. Sweet gal. Fine actress. RIP.
I remember in the 1980s, when she was still a major film star, there were reports of her bizarre behavior that turned out to result from her mental illness. Sadly, she went down the path of self-medicating with booze and illegal drugs rather than seeking professional help and getting on legitimate drugs. Hopefully she can rest in peace now.
I don’t guess I knew for certain that she was bi-polar. I did see her taking a pill from from a Kodak film holder. I later looked at one of them and noted the number on it. I looked it up and it was Xanax.
Noting how she acted and reading about Xanax I am pretty sure it was bi-polar.
Kidder was the Montana State Coordinator for Progressive Democrats of America. Kidder was named the host of a dinner event by the Yellowstone County Democrats in Billings, Montana called “Billings for Bernie” in support of Bernie Sanders’ presidential primary bid. She was a Canadian who did not become a US citizen until 2005.
She was a “Bernie” supporter and critic of Hillary Clinton and seemed to know something about her financial ties. She wrote the following articles,
“How Hillary Clinton Bought the Loyalty of 33 State Democratic Parties”
https://www.counterpunch.org/2016/04/01/how-hillary-clinton-bought-the-loyalty-of-33-state-democratic-parties/
“My Fellow Americans: We Are Fools” https://www.counterpunch.org/2016/07/29/my-fellow-americans-we-are-fools/
I realize it must cost you a lot to have empathy for someone obviously troubled you only know from the screen
My bad
Given her will publicized history I don’t really think this is breaking news.
Boy she was young there
I remember her most from Studio 54
Disco sucked so bad
But its where the girls were
xanax is actually one of the less horrible of the meds.
I will take one occasionally at bed time. I get great “crazy” dreams! But if I find myself wanting to do that more than one night in a row, I have to sit down and figure out the cause. Because there is always a cause.
Usually a good walk will accomplish the same thing. But without the great dreams.
I remember you did that now
I was just out there last month to see my friend whos in your business....lives in Los Feliz close to where our own Bunny Slippers was hostaged at Trader Joes recently
I love to visit LA
Its such an other world and everything is new to me
Not much I see at my age and experience thst does thst for me
You described in a short sentence one (of many) the most disturbing phenomenons in our culture. What is happening and why? The insidious manner in which ‘opioid’ ie pill dope and methamphetones have deeply penetrated mostly middle and working class mostly white American communities is a very big deal that no one really wants to address. Lots of blabber about ‘homelessness’ and some on the ‘opioid crisis’ but no real focus by politicos or any big non-profits. What is going on is very destructive and very much under the radar.
