A Texas mother said she didn’t think twice about shooting a would-be carjacker when the man jumped into her vehicle at a Dallas gas station while her two sons were in the backseat.
Michelle Booker-Hicks was at the Shell station along Interstate 35 around 10 p.m. Wednesday when Ricky Wright, 36, attempted to steal her vehicle while she was paying her gas bill, police said. Booker-Hicks told FOX4 Dallas her two sons, ages 2 and 4, were sitting in the backseat at the time.
“I proceeded to jump in my backseat and told the gentleman to stop, to get out the car. He would not get out of the car. He turned around and looked at me. I reached over the armrest to get my glove compartment and that’s when I fired at him once I got the gun from my glove compartment,” Booker-Hicks recalled to the news station.

And, when the perp dies at the scene, there is no other story besides the cc shooter’s. When this POS get out of the hospital he will claim to have been begging for his life and had his hands up.
Darn good story but I’m not buying it. I’ll bet she was carrying without a CCW and HAD TO say it was in the glove or she would have probably been arrested. Even in Texas.
2 & 4 year old? Those videos on YouTube showing young kids digging out guns from purses and concealed carry bags has had a major impact; it would not surprise me if a Mom with 2 young sons in the car keeps the gun in the glove compartment.
Lol... The story makes no sense! She just had to stop talking and she’ll be fine. TGIT... And I mean that. Wish the whole country could be like Texas. Which by the way has a considerable immigrant and Democrat presence.

Don’t need a LTC to carry a weapon in your vehicle but it must be concealed and not on your person. If you can legally own a gun in Texas you can carry one in your vehicle.

That may be so but a busy day makes this the first time I’ve read this article : )
.……….depends entirely on what county your in...…….out of 254 counties...……….I’d wager that you would not even get arrested in 200 counties in a case like this.
Particularly for a woman.
In West Texas, no one involved including the Sheriff’ deputies would even THINK about arresting a woman for defending her kids, with or without a license. A West Texas jury would NEVER find her guilty. Hell, they would commission a statue for her in front of the county courthouse.
Now Austin...…………..your going to jail !!
