One classic and a bunch of snoozers. Ha! That's funny. Several classics in there, but now you've triggered a debate about which one is the "classic." :)

Cocktail is probably one of the most conservative movies in that list, ever made. Yeah, we know how retarded Tom Cruise is but the storyline is pro-capitalist, anti-abortion and not to cheat on your best friends wife. There are as much great one-liners in that movie that matches up with any movie out there.. Thanks for informing us about that. I never had any interest in seeing it, but now that you have given a little background on it, I'll watch it next time I get a chance.
I have recently started realizing I have become a Tom Cruise fan, especially with his Sci Fi stuff, like "Edge of tomorrow."

I loved Cocktail. I was 13 when it came out, so too young to recognize the conservative values featured, but your list is spot on.
I mainly loved Elizabeth Shue (not in a lez way!). This wasn’t long after The Karate Kid and Adventures in Babysitting were out and I thought she was gorgeous in those...especially her curly hair! Too funny.

Yasss! Stand and Deliver was excellent!! I love the school movies like Stand and Deliver, Lean on Me and Dangerous Minds. (20+ years as a special educator and still going strong.)

Best scene of the movie! I’m not going to lie...I do the Strike Two dance around the house upon occasion. The Strike Three dance is beyond my abilities, unfortunately.
That baseball scene really calls to mind Airplane and Top Secret! Hilarious!!

I forgot to add: he was honorably discharged from the army so he goes to NYC to make his own company or try to. So you can add pro-military.
My favorite is the community college “business” teacher who insulted everyone of the students for their ideas and came TC’s idea about the bar and after the teacher really gave it to him for a “stupid” idea, his retort:
“I know you became a teacher because you couldn’t hack it in the real world, right?”
:) (he got kicked out of class)

Yeah, she’s really hot and cute here. Not the Liz Shue from Leaving Las Vegas but this type, I liked. :)
