British Police have told English football fans going to the World Cup in Russia to not wave or display the St George flag, claiming it could be seen as “imperialistic” and “antagonistic”. Up to 10,000 England fans are expected to travel to Russia next month, along with a small force of UK police to help keep them safe.

I assumed they were talking about the Union Jack, but no. They are telling British fans not to display the current flag. Unbelievable.

Yes...the white one with the red cross. Northern Ireland and Wales aare similar with different colors. The dragon flag of Wales is not their official flag...but it should be IMO because it’s awesome!

The Flag of St. George is imperialistic? British imperialism didn’t take off until the Flag of St. George was replaced by the British Union flag in 1606, and it became even more robust after the Union Jack was adopted in 1801.
