Should this Old Testament Law be applied to dogs in our current world, now and today? (Other parts of this OTL refer to financial repayment as well in other similar situations, is this a doable item with insurance?) Is this what you believe would work?
I am looking for solutions, or procedures to find solutions.

Happens all the time. People get pits because they're the trendy "badass" dog to have and then they very quickly realize the dog is way more than they can handle.
I have a coworker, a young woman, who is going through this now. Got a pitbull to help her deal with her "depression" and it's now destroying the apartment where she keeps it cooped up all day while she's at work. She thought it was a good idea at the time. Now she wants to get rid of it. I suspect it will wind up in a shelter soon.

Cesar Milan is a pit bull apologist and makes a lot of money off of these dogs, as do so many, many others - the dogfighting men, the breeders, bookies, the pit-bull-pushing “nonprofit” entities, dog rescue people, Tia Torress and her Pitbulls and Parolees” show, etc. . . . The rest of us and our children, parents, friends, pets, livestock, and law enforcement continue to pay the price.
I have done my research. I have “educated myself” as the pitbull apologists told me to do. I have now found, and continue to find, that the situation is worse than I ever dreamed, and is continuing to escalate.

When an attack occurs and victims are fighting for their lives, first responders cannot by law attend to them until police have secured the area. Many victims have to be life-flighted to a trauma center and every second counts. There have been cases where the victim expired at the scene from exsanguination while awaiting medical attention while police attempted to restrain or capture dogs. Firemen cannot enter burning residences or buildings if an aggressive pit bull threatens them in the doorway or yard.
First responders are frequently subjected to horrific scenes in the aftermath of a pit bull mauling. They are the first to witness the damage to pit bull attack victims, who often lose limbs, scalps, noses, ears, eyes, chins, and genitals to these dogs. Officers have even called the attacks “feeding frenzies”.
Attacking pit bulls sometimes have to be shot many times before releasing victims. There have been hundreds of examples of pit bull advocates tying up phone lines, flooding email addresses, marching, picketing police stations, and demanding national attention when aggressive pit bulls are shot by police to stop or to prevent a mauling or fatality. In 2014, pit bull advocates picketed the Peoria Police Station to protest the alleged shootings of three local pit bulls and to demand charges of animal cruelty be laid against the officers. In Regina, Canada, the police service was forced to close its Facebook page as a result of abusive, profane and hateful comments by pit bull advocates. They reported, “We did this because the nature of the discussion was largely disrespectful and, despite requests, continued to contain profanity and hate speech, as well as posts inciting violence.” Police officers who shoot aggressive pit bulls are usually assigned to desk duty awaiting review, further impacting the economics of law enforcement.

You conveniently ignore the hundreds of thousands of pit bulls that never ever have issues. I know many who own pits, and they never have problems, because they treat them as they should be treated.
I have been attacked by dogs before. One was a black lab. Should I think all black labs are bad? No, it was a defective dog, just like some humans are.
But that is OK, you have your right to use what ever sources you like.
I do not own one and never would. Only because I think dogs with smashed faces are ugly, but not because they are as dangerous as so many believe.
I’ll leave it at that. No animosity meant, just another side you refuse to hear.

Sorry Vike I listen to your argument and with no animosity I say you are wrong when it comes to this dogs. You use the argument of many of the pit apologizers that other dogs biet, well yes they do but how many other dogs take off limbs or decapitate their victims or eat them after or even before they have killed them? Some animals aren’t meant to be kept as pets, lions, tigers, bears, alligators and pit bulls are among them.
They should face severe punishment, they owned dogs they had no control over,
The was at least one and it would appear that the young dogs were pit bull mix.

The sheriff would not ID the breed of dog in the attack, but the attending Vet did.
OKLAHOMA Update: the veterinarian who handled the dogs that killed Tracy Garcia, 52, in Ardmore posted this on the Westwood Veterinary Hospital Facebook page: Westwood Veterinary Hospital, Inc. 3 hrs “We have been receiving a lot of negative messages regarding the breeds of dogs involved in the terrible attack Thursday night. I believe that people are missing the point regarding the breeds of dogs that were involved. A woman died. The dogs appear to me to be a pit bull and 4 pit-bull mix puppies. Who knows what the female was. She looked to me like an Australian Shepherd mixed with something with short legs. It was tragic. I was wrong, because the report from the sheriff was wrong. There was a pit and a couple pt mixes in the attack.

As I said some animals are not suitable as pets Pit Bulls are among them.
I have no problem naming the breed when an attack happens.
I grew up around dogs, and like I said before, the meanest dog I ever saw was a pure bred black lab.
I have 2 female German Shepherds sisters from the same litter, one is the alpha and she is unpredictable, the other is like baby huey. I never ever let them off the leash or out of the fenced in yard. Big fence, 6 feet, and one corner is 8 feet high.
(due to wild deer and other animals that take a route to the creek by that corner. Daisy jumped the 6 foot fence once, she cannot jump the 8 foot. Or at least she hasn’t......yet)
I take precautions, as all who own dogs should.
Anyone who owns a dog, whose breed is known for aggression, should take extra precautions. If they don’t take precautions, then they are liable, and the penalty should be very stiff if anyone gets harmed by their pet due to their lack of care.
Sorry that won’t help the dead and to many are dying. Other than maybe being burned a live I can’t think of a more horrible way to die than being mauled and eaten by a animal. It doesn’t take a lot of research to see how many times this is happening. it’s not just elderly and the young a number of owners and I am not talking about drug sell thugs here either.
Ignore it if you wish, but sweeping it under the rug is not going to stop it.

Yes. Lived in the ME among muslims for years. The hatred and a animosity is difficult for Western Christians to comprehend. For these islamists it is a fight to the death.
