I can see where this is going:

Auburn High School Proudly Adopts ‘Africentric Math’ To Draw Black Students Into STEM Fields

The Navy training was designed for Blacks to fail by not using "Africentric Math." For that matter even the aircraft used was engineered without "Africentric Math" so that Blacks could not fly them.

Sounds no less logical than 'men marrying men' sounded to everyone 30 years ago! The lunatic-left agenda being implemented by the elites of the West is not restrained by logic or reality.

When you’re not good enough in anything you play the race card.

70 years after Truman integrated the military? Weak sauce, Courtland.

Diversity has nothing to do with success in this case. I’m a5’3” female....maybe I should complain that the NBA doesn’t have enough DIVERSITY by allowing me to play.

My guess is that Johnny Crash gave himself the name Maverick. He’s that vain.

Without his daddy, he would have never came close to the Naval Academy or flying any of those planes. He’s a corrupt and sleazy clown show.

Hey Badger, I want my fighter jocks to be demanding and elitist. I never had a problem with them during my 4 years in Germany. My ADA battalion had batteries at Hahn, Spangdahlem, and Bitburg.

While we had a healthy rivalry at the O'Club, they all knew that the Army units got them over the hump in Tac Evals in the area of Base Survivability. Stuff like that mattered in the late 70s, when the Cold War was still on.

It was my experience that new AF officers weren't handed anywhere near the responsibility that butterbars had in the Army. Within my first four months in Germany, I was handed the reins of both Chaparral platoons: 40 men, 8 weapons systems.

#12 I knew a guy who was on the Oakland Raiders team. He was not first string but oh so close to the millions of dollars.
He was working at a printing company making less then $14/hr. He got a $80,000 car out of playing football.

Accepted into the program even though his score was marginal, only to wash out later.

This could be another case of a minority who would have done very well in many very challenging occupations being forced by affirmative action into an occupation in which he was marginal. Sort of like making a white guy shift from strong safety to cornerback because that position lacks diversity.

When you get to the best of the best of the best, if one race or sex has the advantage, here’s what you should say, We’re America. We’ve got those people.

“He failed flights for what he says were viewed in the squadron as relatively minor mistakes, such as “safing” an ejection seat and forgetting to re-arm for takeoff.”

MINOR mistakes? Let’s see...I did 2500 hours in fighters, and never, ever made THAT mistake!

It used to be that top scorers on entrance tests got into professions such as firefighter and pilot training. Then it went to “qualified.” This allowed for affirmative action to get people in who barely passed.

I taught advanced jet (TA-4J) in the Naval Air Training Command at NAS Meridian, MS in the mid-80's. We bent over backwards--too far in my opinion--to get women and minorities their wings.

The 1980s FFS.

"If we do not impart aviation instructors with the need to recognize cultural differences that can be perceived as negative traits, we will continue to have a problem with minority students in the cockpit,"

Sorry, I have a problem with this as well.

For a military unit to be cohesive they must have a culture that is for all intents and purposes, the same.

If differences in culture causes friction it is detrimental to unit cohesion.

All personnel in the military while on duty must sublimate their culture to the culture of the military. Military discipline requires it.

I know a guy who graduated from the USNA in the same class as John McCain. McCain finished 3rd from the bottom of his class. The joke was that all a Midshipman had to do was finish above McCain in order to get a commission. McCain class rank should have eliminated him from any consideration for flight school. In fact, McCain would have been dismissed if not for his father and grandfather being Admirals.

IIRC, Juan McQueeg is a North Vietnamese Ace, with five kills against USN aircraft to his credit...

Intelligence is needed in those positions. It is also highly correlated with the speed of reaction that is needed.

The more who get accepted into training without the requisite demonstrated ability, the more are likely to wash out of the training.

He has to be smart to get that far but it sounds like he carried a chip on his shoulder but from the article he could be right about the instructors or the instructors are being tough.
