Who has the power to check Trump if he goes this route?

There is this thing about the voters.

None of the scenarios seem to respect the President’s authority. Nor do they consider at all whether his objections are legitimate. The views only examine whether he can get away with it. The answer is maybe, which upset the snowflake author.

Get a load of this:

Here, we know there was serious Russian effort to influence the election—because there have been indictments on that from Mueller’s team.

Really? The fact that there are indictments tells us all that? Indictments of whom? Huh...doesn't say. For what? Huh...doesn't say. But we just know there were serious crimes involved because, uh, because, because of secret indictments and anyway, Stormy Daniels!

Sorry, Skippy, due process has come up a little short here, like about 95%. What we actually have here is an Independent Counsel whose prosecutorial abuse is far better documented than the fairy dust against Trump, proudly proclaimed untouchable by people who clearly don't know what they're talking about, quoting one another solemnly as if they were Dephic Oracles. Tell your idiot fairy tales to somebody who cares.

You really think after watching these way the DOJ was abused by the Obama regime that the same career bureaucrats are suddenly going to start resigning if Trump fired Muller for grossly exceeding his authority?

Interesting that all of the left wing liars in the Deep State and the Lamestream Media are now out to get Mueller.

Hmm. I wonder what that means?

It's not difficult to understand...he'd be impeached.Every single Rat would vote "aye" and some...perhaps more than a few..."Republicans" would as well.

It's a much, much better idea to start issuing pardons to key targets. That would force James "Dirty Cop" Comey's good pal to close up shop and submit a report saying "I found no credible evidence of collusion".

“Mueller has signaled [there may be] a report on obstruction of justice.”

I think this is why Trump has been grinning and bearing it, to the frustration of most posters here. He knows that this is a political battle, not a legal one. I think Mueller could easily write such a report, even though it would be a work of fiction. Trump does not want to hand his enemies even the appearance of impeachment grounds on a silver platter. He can’t even trust his own party to have his back in an impeachment hearing. Not sure what his end game is, but this explains Trump’s seeming inaction.

I wanted to read this article. I really did. But it was so full of lies and liberal BS, so I gave up.

A few months ago, there might have been some fall out if Mueller was fired. But now?

Now it would be a relief. For Mueller and the Rats.

I believe Mueller WANTS to be fired. Why else would he pull that stupid stunt at Coen’s office?

Mueller has nothing on Trump. Never did. Never will. If he was a decent and honest man - he would conclude his witch hunt and go home. But he can’t. He’s a slimy Clinton/Obama stooge and must push forward. And so he will.

Until he’s fired.

But DJT is indeed playing 5 moves ahead. He knows that firing Mueller would allow Mueller and the Rats to save face. So why give them that easy out?

Leave Mueller alone. He is a public embarrassment to the democrats. And Trump is using this to his best advantage.

This is a ‘creative writing’ exercise by Noah Feldman where he pulls hypotheticals out of his rear-end, ungrounded by anything other than the most tenuous of relationships to actual facts, and then proceeds to paint gloomy and unrealistic pictures of the future as imagined straight from his fevered cranium.

And that is apparently enough to frighten the living daylights out of wanna-be-reporterette Matt Taylor, writing for VICE.

I can hardly imagine the whimpering, garment-rending, and tantrums and fits of the vapors, occasionally pierced by shrieks of absolute terror, that would emanate from all of Matt Taylor’s orifices if he were privy to the much-more-likely hypotheticals pointing to the forthcoming indictments and arrests of Obamunist conspirators and wrongdoers including the former heads of the DOJ, FBI, CIA, IRS, and State Department, perhaps to include the former Obamunist-in-Chief himself.

There is one reason that people have talked about and suspect/expect Trump to fire Mueller.

All of those people, including people in congress and in bars everywhere and on TV/radio/printed-press and at home, KNOW that Mueller has NOT FOUND anything regarding Trump/Russia collusion, and all of those people ALSO KNOW that, Mueller has strayed from his original assigned task, ans is now only working to do the REAL JOB which the democrats and the anti-Trump crowd wanted all along, ans that is, to get Trump out of the White House at any cost and for anything.

Those democrats and otherwise anybody-but-Trump crowd, have known for over a year that the collusion charges were completely fabricated, but they went along with the special counsel for the sole reason of removing Trump from the presidency at any cost, no matter how long it took.

Trump should go ahead and fire Mueller, for the simple reason that, Mueller has done his job already, and that is to find that Trump is not guilty of any collusion, and that Mueller has taken on the completely different task of getting Trump out of the White House.

People will talk about how the president might fire Mueller, but they all know in the back of their minds that, Trump would be right to do so.

Great article. Thanks for posting.

Trump needs to get this stopped but he should follow the proper legal steps that allow him to do it in the proper way. He could also use this as an opportunity via the bully pulpit to expose the sham that has taken place, e.g. get off defense and get on offense.

If Trump handles this correctly I think he will be fine. But he needs good legal advice and needs to handle it properly.

Couldn’t have a Congressional vetting of Obama or any mention of his lack of NBC because it would cause a constitutional crisis. Can’t fire Mueller the swamp creature because it would cause a constitutional crisis. Funny how every imaginary constitutional crisis would benefit conservatives.

Yeah, a real constitutional expert =>

"Matt Taylor was a staff reporter at his hometown weekly newspaper the East Hampton Star, and has also written on the internet for magazines like Slate, Salon, the Daily Beast, the Atlantic, Tablet, the American Prospect and New York."
