I don’t think Roseanne is a “complete nut”. However, I don’t think she’s a conservative either. On social issues she’s as liberal as anybody else in Hollywood, she just happens to be an old school “blue collar” democrat of the JFK variety. It just to go to show how far left the democrat party has gone that many now consider her right wing.

Rosanne is meh to okay. I dont take her seriously at all. I’m not gonna consult her for any kind of deep meaning or wisdom. She’s all over the map, and fires everywhere.

A massive number of Trump voters fit this very demographic. In fact, one could argue that Trump himself isn't a social conservative and many social conservatives came late to Trump's camp when other candidates were dispatched.

The "Roseanne Class" represents a significant group of people who, if they had an opinion one way or the other on social issues, largely sat out the culture wars, preoccupied with the more pressing concerns of keeping their heads above water after being hung out to dry by the establishment candidates of both parties.

I've been saying this for a while. Roseanne Barr might have voted for Trump, but she has ALWAYS been a rabid leftist on social issues, and that HASN'T changed. Roseanne's show was one of the FIRST TV shows to promote gay marriage, long BEFORE it was "popular" on the rest of the TV siticoms.

I feel like I'm living in the Twilight Zone when I see a bunch of conservatives tout Roseanne as a "conservative" TV series.

What's next, will we start claiming Married With Children promotes traditional family values and that Al Bundy is a Jesse Helms type?

Yep. Truly, I couldn't care less about Roseanne Barr, her nuttiness or lack thereof, or her show. If she's finding success by thumbing her nose at the liberal establishment, more power to her.

But - this is an instructive article. Here's a mostly liberal, feminist, female. Certainly, one of Hollywood, or at minimum she checks all the right boxes. However, she went outside of the box, and spoke the truth. Ergo, she must be destroyed.

Remember what libs did to Bush, Reagan, etc. "Crazy", "Senile", "Stupid", were some of the more tame epithets.
