I've heard he took it from a friend's father's gun safe. Haven't heard anything definitive. Anyone know?
Neither did the multiple police visits to the home nor the tipoff to the FBI.
I guess the answer to government incompetence is to legislate even more intrusive incompetence.
My guess is that he had a gut feeling about the kid and ignored it.
Yeah, due process is so outdated. /s
What do you mean? Is there a problem with question #12?
“Why would the owner close up....”
Possibly because he didn’t want to go through the same stuff that happened to the cop in Ferguson or the community protection guy in Florida after they had to handle an attack by the liberal media while they were being exonerated legally by the state and the feds. The man may have decided it just wasn’t worth the death threats, the damage to his store and personal property, the threat to his family along with his name and reputation, that was created by the lib media to use as a tool for taking guns away. He probably didn’t feel it was worth it. Yet is always happens.
I still haven’t forgotten what they did to Richard Jewell, using the same tactic.

So, how is it we have heard NOTHING about his real parents, only his adoptive parents, now dead. Did insanity run in his real parents’ families?
Too many unanswered questions.
He bought it. Have you tried google? Or a local paper?
Thanks, got the answer a while ago. I trust the folks here, generally, far more than goggle. And, “a local paper?!” Really, lol?
Exactly. It wouldn’t be worth the stress or legal fees to convince the morons out there you did nothing wrong. After “debating” some supposedly college-educated “friends” on this subject today, I’m pretty much ready to don my hairshirt and head to my cave in the woods.
I can’t afford one which is why I don’t have one yet
“head to my cave in the woods.”
Don’t tell anyone you’re going there. The media will want to do an op end on you about how you are hiding from Trump.
Film at 11.

The story I read said the father required him to buy the safe as a condition of moving into the house, and to give the father all the keys. However, the killer kept a copy of the key, and used it to retrieve the rifle.
