That would seem to be a good reason to STOP driving.
video at the link very worth the watch. Quick, clean link. Not a bunch of junk popping up. GoPro mounted on the boat catches everything.
I saw this last week. Stunt men could not have timed it better.
That Weldcraft is one tough little boat.
Amtrak engineer goes boating when off duty?
According to the Comey standard, the driver didn’t intend to hit them, so he shouldn’t be held liable.
Very, very lucky no one was killed.

Most boats of that size have a means of raising the skipper high enough to see over the bow. Of course, it’s not as comfortable as using the normal seat and one has to know to use it.
I have a somewhat smaller boat, a SeaRay 240. It has a 2 position skipper's seat that I can adjust so I'm semi-standing when running the boat. Equally important, a skipper is legally obligated to have full visibility any time his boat is under way.

Same situation with the short little old ladies in Florida at the wheel of a classic Cadillac.
Yeah, whatever happened to that amtrak story? It’s amazing how quickly the cover up media buries government malfeasance when it’s liberals involved.
Still in the news here in the North West. Amtrak ridership down 25% because of accident. Oregon tax payers have been subsidizing $118 towards each ticket which will now go up to make up difference in ridership.
As a side note, Oregon wants a tax on healthcare,,, to help keep costs down.
