And there isn’t a single resource backing it up. Monopoly Money with delusions of Grandeur.

Will latte sipping Silicon Valley Trendies give up their high carbon Cryptocurrencies to save the planet from global warming?

Bitcoin contributes to global warming (Note not using the 'GlowBull' warming, since bitcoin *REALLY* does so, in a non-goebbels way)

Waste from bitcoin mines has already polluted the waters of 2,334 rivers around the world.

14,319 bitcoin miners have already been killed in bitcoin mine accidents. There are no safety rules established for bitcoin mines, so mine owners are exploiting their workers by making them work in these hazardous locations.

“the Golden Arcade at Sham Shui Po”

“Sham” being the operative term when discussing Bitcoin.

I make $22,300 a day (or 2.4 Bitcoins) selling bitcoin ore from home. Don’t miss out on this great parttime work.

I don’t understand this mining.. admittedly, I haven’t educated myself.
How can one just “mine” money?

Like with a cloth?

Can I keep digging in my yard and find random money?

The author has completely missed the point. It doesn't matter how much the hardware or electricity costs. It doesn't matter what the current value of a bitcoin is. The Chinese are mining their way out of their shithole country. That is priceless. The Chicommns will wind up executing miners but that still won't stop the others.

Not only is bitcoin spawning newer CCs (and that bubble is just starting), but it will also spawn new ways to exit fiat without the Communists figuring it out. That's the beauty of tech like bitcoin, it can't be stopped.

Bitcoin is not a currency, and it not crypto anything. It is an amazing scheme concocted by computer geeks for extracting money from gullible people.

It is nothing but saved electrons.

“Mining” is a metaphor for running some computer code that produces a new number which is then declared to be worth something. It is worth nothing until it is converted to money. The quoted price is the last recorded selling price. It is not an indication of worth. Worth does not exist until a sell transaction is executed.

If you buy bitcoins, it is speculation. You could lose all your electrons. Your electrons are not insured by the federal government.

I was re-writing an old computer game that I coded about thirty years ago. Due to unexpected bugs the program didn’t work right. Instead of awarding points for winning the game, it started issuing bitcoins. I hope I can fix it.

Although I believe that bitcoin is just one of the ways being tested to create a cashless system, I do wish I knew how to get in on the ground floor and create them.
