Will latte sipping Silicon Valley Trendies give up their high carbon Cryptocurrencies to save the planet from global warming?

Bitcoin contributes to global warming (Note not using the 'GlowBull' warming, since bitcoin *REALLY* does so, in a non-goebbels way)

Waste from bitcoin mines has already polluted the waters of 2,334 rivers around the world.

14,319 bitcoin miners have already been killed in bitcoin mine accidents. There are no safety rules established for bitcoin mines, so mine owners are exploiting their workers by making them work in these hazardous locations.

“the Golden Arcade at Sham Shui Po”

“Sham” being the operative term when discussing Bitcoin.

Just like the US Dollar and most currencies around the world. The only difference is no one controls the cryptocurrency and we all have the same rule book.

I don’t understand this mining.. admittedly, I haven’t educated myself.
How can one just “mine” money?

Like with a cloth?

Can I keep digging in my yard and find random money?

I have two (C64) of those plus an Amiga 128. That should cut the time down quite a BIT.

From what I understand these miners verify a Bitcoin transaction so as a reward if you verify enough transactions you get to birth a new bitcoin.
