Right before he turned himself in on a warrant, Kyle Barrett said he got one last moment with his 4-year-old daughter Gabrielle.
“I got to give her a kiss and a hug and say I loved her,” he told the Detroit Free Press.
It would be the last time the 26-year-old from Sumpter Township, Michigan, would ever see his daughter alive.
Police say they found Gabrielle unresponsive on Jan. 1 just before 11 a.m. with burns and bruises covering her body, according to Michigan Live. The girl, who family members were performing CPR on when officers arrived, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

That's been all over the local talk radio today here in S. E. Michigan.......There's more to the story than what has been listed in the news.
LEO's had been called to the trailer in the past and the conditions inside should have demanded a visit by the CPS but didn't.
It was the flawed system that let the little girl down and resulted in her torture and murder..........
Sicking, stupid or evil?
Mom lets 4 year old run own bath water (like what mom really does this?)
Mom leaves 4 year old alone in tub
Mom finds 4 year old drowning and leaves her there.
Mom does not seek medical attention.
Mom and new boyfriend leave 4 year old to die while they leave state.
Drugs? Mentally Ill? both?
I don't know, you may have other thoughts, but I kinda wish you wouldn't post these. It just amplifies, extends and multiplies the reach of evil.
I get a feeling these stories inspire anger and depression, more than -- say --- compassion and prayers.
When I hear someone praise God for winning a football game or some other stupid thing I think of things like this.
It isn’t that I don’t believe because I do...but I don’t understand this.
I’m not seeing a photo. I didn’t want to click on the video. I hope they end up in jail for life. I wish for more but that’s all I can reasonably hope for.
I despise and loathe Hillary and Bill and Pelosi and Barack.
But, my hate for these two people hurting that innocent little girl is one million times as much as the foregoing persons.
You know why these happen don’t you?
Abortion has made it all to easy for these crimes to happen.
That is why I post because that is the road abortion has lead us down.

You know what makes me more angry than reading the story and seen pictures of the monsters that caused her death?
Seeing a picture of the little girl.
It brings it home to me, because, she’s about the same as as my 2 granddaughters, and as innocent and as beautiful. She was helpless against the monsters.
If anything even close to what happened to that little girl were to occur to any of my granddaughters, I would sacrifice the rest of my life to get at those monsters.
My mind and heart hurt just imagining how that little girl must’ve suffered. So helpless.
In other stories it was said CPS could have done something but did not. What is CPS good for these days?
A society which allows this, will allow anything.

Why stop at 2? Why not a 4 year old? I mean if it he/she was sick/disabled? These people don’t care about life anymore.
We did not/could not have children. We would have made good parents. Life, of course, is not fair. Those two pigs make me ill.
