And yet, somehow these things haven’t suffered much beyond being plastered with warnings. Yes yes yes, I get it, if I smoke a lot of this I’ll get cancer. Now please sell me a carton of it.

I pray we will do what is wise here, and this resolutely points in a direction outside this world. That’s why a lot of people smoke pot, they are looking for something more than what the world they know can offer.

That even was the original idea with tobacco. It stimulated due to the nicotine, and American Indians cultivated this native plant, unknown to the Old World until visits to the New World began, for that purpose. To them it was seen as the way to a spirit of peace.

Over fifty years ago my dad bought ten acres out in California City, California in a real estate scam. He still has it. Maybe Mike Tyson is our next door neighbor. LOL

Cigarettes are $5 a pack because of taxes and litigation. They are still taking money from cigarette companies.
The lawyers will drive the marijuana manufacturers out of business. You will have to grow your own. Note: It is illegal to grow your own tobacco in some areas.

When you have an intellectual heavyweight like Mike Tyson backing your concept, it can’t possibly fail.

Said no one ever.

Put those together and the lawyers will have a field day.

You really thought lawyers have been working for free while pot was illegal? You know better than that!

Lawyers have field days whether something is legal or illegal. They got the bases covered all the way around.

Great. This is going to help my “face tattoos are for losers” argument.

My daughter will hire a lawyer some day with a face tattoo.

The following is my personal experience with marijuana.

As a child of the 60's (not a hippy), I indulged in pot quite frequently over the years until I grew up and joined the military. Here is what I saw and experienced with marijuana.

1. Pot is indeed a gateway drug. Most I knew went on to stronger drugs, always searching for a better or unique high. Pills that include benzedrine or methedrine known as "uppers" became the next step. Then it was the "downers" like reds, yellow jackets, black beauties, quaaludes, etc. Then it was a mix of the two that were called "speedballs". By then you have a seriously screwed up individual;

2. I can verify that studies that state chronic pot injestion does in deed cause loss of ambition. I witnessed it with numerous friends and associates. Some loss their jobs, or their families, or just lost all interest in their future or anything of worth in their lives. They would convince themselves that after their next high they would get their shit together. Sound familiar?;

2. Next up or at the same time were the hallucinogens like LSD, Poyote, Mushrooms. Those people got tired of that mind-twisting experience and wanted back to something more mellow which is No. 3 below.

3. Once they experienced the euphoric high of Heroin/Morphine/Opium it was all over, they were doomed.

4. Now it's all about crack cocaine or crystal meth, which not only screws up your thinking/lifestyle but destroys your body. Just watch the TV show "Cops" and you'll see those users with emaciated bodies and loss teeth they bust every episode.

5. Potheads like to claim they drive better than those under the influence of alcohol. Bullshit! They are both as impaired and dangerous, depending on the level of intoxication.

I will say it once again, marijuana IS a gateway drug. This is not going to end well for our Country.

Mike Tyson is a perfect role model for the marijuana lobby.

You have no iea...

Pollution in water & soil from the pot farms will get into aquifers & get blown to other soil.

Sooner or later-—ALL products grown in Calif will be contaminated to some extent by pot.

Citrus—Avocados—nuts- celery- strawberries- wheat- alfalfa fed to cows— rice- artichokes— dates—etc.

There is no controlling where contaminated water flows.

Rural properties that live on domestic wells will also be
affected.

The meager filter systems that can take SOME of these kinds of contaminates out of the water are expensive & not very effective.

Wait until all the Enviros find out that their endangered species will be drinking contaminated water within a few years.

There is no capping this contamination, IMO.

Now the airhead potheads are connecting their beloved marijuana to God.

Keep the crap coming, potheads.

You’re connecting your beliefs to lies, which is worse — Satan is the father of lies.

marijuana IS a gateway drug.

Only in the sense that those (vainly) seeking happiness through chemicals to the point of being willing to break the law, find marijuana first.

And alcohol. But all those drugs are on the legal side of the wall, so there's additional disincentive against moving on to other (illegal) drugs.
