Bush, Kasich, Cruz (waited to last minute), and Romney all refused to endorse Donald Trump. They revealed their true character. Never forget.

He’s a big shot to the Mormons. Romney would run away with it.

Romney has a grudge and a vendetta. He has already demonstrated that in his comments over the past year. We are losing McQueeg and possibly gaining Romney. Oh brother, it makes my head hurt to think about it.

Romney will make a RINO like McCain look like like chairman of the Tea Party.

I believe Orrin Hatch has health issues..

Glad I don’t live in that state and have to make a choice of voting for Romney.

I did once and that was once too many for me..

Romney is just a pretty boy face and fraud underneath.

Guys, like it or not, if Romney runs, he’ll almost certainly be the nominee, and almost certainly the next senator from Utah.... however he will be a Jr Senator without much pull, but still a Senator.

Whether Romney wants the job? That’s a whole other story.

Mitt was already given a shot at the White House at the top of the ticket and failed, its highly unlikely he’s going to want to be doing the grunt work for years to take another stab at that?.. So, does Romney want to be a Senator, just to be a Senator??? Seems unlikely to me.

Time will tell

We should contribute to whoever is running against him.

The press would give Romney all kinds of power, let alone that the GOP will probably just barely be holding onto a majority. He’ll fit right in there with Graham and liberal wing of the GOPe.

It absolutely depends on what Mormon Church elders tell him to do. I believe they told Hatch to step aside for Romney.

I think you engage in conspiracy theories... Hatch is one of the most senior members of the senate, to tell him to step aside for someone who will be a JR guy is beyond stupid.

Hatch has health problems, and is retiring... nothing really more to it than that, IMHO.

Vote for someone else.

I’m not ever going to vote for these type of douche nozzle Republicans again. Never.

If I lived in Utah and had to choose between R0mknee and a democrat, I’d either stay home or vote demonrat.

No more of this GOP scum.

Good grief. Bachmann is not from Utah. Although she says she might run in Minnesota for Franken’s seat.

You are correct that he is leaving because of health problems. Doesn’t stop many senior senators.

Sigh, I just don’t buy it folks. There are 2 factual truths about this situation...

1) Hatch would easily win re-election if he runs.

2) Romney will easily win election if he runs.

Romney has already been the top of the ticket, he lost, but he got to as high as you can go short of winning the presidency as a Republican... He hasn’t held a public office 10 years ago. He last ran for anything 5 years ago and that was for President. Why would a guy who reached the highest you can get, want to return to being an elected official just to be a Junior senator and engage in gruntwork?

I think this is just fake news pushing this storyline hoping they can get Romney to win, because anyone with a few neurons knows, a Republican will win, and Romney is a known moderate... So better to push a known moderate than risk something more conservative... This “clearing the way for Romney” is a balloon from the left, hoping they can coax him into running to keep the seat more tame than it will likely wind up. I don’t think for one minute this is coming from Romney.

Its Psyops folks, people trying to create a reality, not report it....

Time will tell, but I really see no reason or desire out of Romney... if he wanted to return to elected office, he could have... he hasn’t, so I don’t see any of this coming from Romney.

Time will tell, but I see a lot of folks just gnashing their teeth over fake news at this point.

If Romney runs his life must really be miserable.
