That looks like 80’s gear. Early, before 1983, I’d guess.

1980? What’s on the screen, machine language or an early version of mine sweeper?

Nostalgic wandering of tech gone past (some not so long past) in this slide show quiz from Tech Republic to test how well you remember when specific tech was introduced. See how well you did. I was mostly within one year of the introduction of most of them but a couple I did not even recognize, I must admit. — PING!

Pinging dayglored, ShadowAce, and ThunderSleeps for the enjoyment of their Pinglist members.

Sort of Antique Tech Ping

The latest Apple/Mac/iOS Pings can be found by searching Keyword "ApplePingList" on FreeRepublic's Search.

Ah, yes, the cash register style keyboard.

Trivia: the early all in one designs existed because the FCC wanted to fuss over every possible configuration of a computer and they also demanded to (expensively) control testing. Thus if you sold the monitor and tape drive separate from the box your costs skyrocketed,

Backlash led to the more reasonable proposition of letting manufacturers test their own equipment.

That Star Trek type game was mighty fun too. I’ve got a copy of it for the old XT around here somewhere.

I used to play the turn based game Hammurabi. How many people lived and died per year and how much food was available to feed them.
