Bet FSU would have thrown a lot money at him. But I think he had this deal with Nebraska wrapped up for awhile.
The problem with Nebraska, is that it’s not like the good old days of the Big Eight, when all they had to worry about was Oklahoma.
Now it’s, Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State. It’s not the sell it used to be.
Good luck, Scott. Lincoln has been a graveyard for coaches lately. A Nebraska man might just be the ticket.
I wish him luck
Went to Stanford for a cup of coffee.
I’m sure Husker fans are very excited.
In the end, however, it’s just bread and circuses.
1983: Nebraska 84, Minnesota 13.
1983: Nebraska 44 Penn State 7
YESSSS!!!!!
Riley should never been hired...crap from the start.
1995 Nebraska 50, MSU 10
1996 Nebraska 55, MSU 14
1962 Nebraska 27, Michigan 13, at Ann Arbor
This is hopefully good news. The last good coach that was not a psycho (sorry Bo) was Frank Solich. Always thought he was treated poorly.
1965 Nebraska 37, Wisconsin 0
1966 Nebraska 31, Wisconsin 3
1973 Nebraska 20 Wisconsin 16
For 35 million over 7 years he can afford to spend some time flying in the universities private jet.
2017 Iowa 56, Nebraska 14
I don’t know what your point is. That was a LONG time ago. A lot has changed since then. Nebraska should have never left the Big 12.
BS Nebraska should have been in Big 10 before Penn State. IMO
Yes, Nebraska should not have left the Big 12. It ‘s not just the number of quality teams in the Big 10 (and most of that quality is in the East and Nebraska is in the much weaker West). By shifting to the Big 10, Nebraska lost their recruiting base in Texas and Oklahoma. Since Nebraska doesn’t play teams in those states they can’t showcase their program. Now their natural base is the upper Midwest, and they stand in line behind too many teams in recruiting.
And Ohio State is showing the difference between the B1G East and West right now.

I sent you a few games in the old days...
