Hi,
I am a longtime FReeper and just needed to talk to someone. I will not post and run, but I must say, I am just getting into bed. I had to go to the hospital because I slipped on our hardwood stairs, and my head hit the wall.
I had a headache that would not quit, no matter how much ice I put on it. I even took a half of a tramadol that I got a couple of years after I fell on the ice in our rural Canadian driveway; nothing helped.
The hospital told me that the wait would be about three hours, so I told my husband to go home and get some sleep; by this time, it was the early morning. "I'll get a taxi," I told him.
Anyway, I called a cab and the guy asked me to sit in the front. He stopped on a sidestreet and started to kiss me, tongue and all. I had no idea where I was. He unzipped his pants and made me touch, well, you know. Then (I was wearing a dress) he put his hand into my underwear and inserted his filthy fingers into me.
I made him drop me off about a half of a kilometer from where I live; don't want him to know where my 18 year-old daughter or I live.
Anyway, I called the police; spend a lot of time writing out a statement and even had to give my clothes to them (my favorite dress! LOL!)
I walked through the snow in a pair of sandals, once I saw his taillights disappear. I walked into the house sobbing; my husband asked what was wrong. I wasn't sure if I should call the police, but my husband said, wouldn't you want to call if it were our daughter?
Anyway, I feel like I want to vomit. The police told me to go to the hospital to get checked out. I could not even hug my husband, I felt so dirty. At least I brushed my teeth and had a buttload :) of mouthwash.
I just wonder if he could have given me a disease with his taxi hands.
So either my husband or a good friend of mine will bring me to the hospital to get checked out; for what, I don't know. I just feel violated and dirty. He kept looking for parking spots on side streets and I was very scared.
Has anything like this happened to any of you? Thank G*d I wasn't raped, but I was afraid of that.
There could be numerous reasons for the posting you refer to as strange. The LOL post could have been posted for a number of reasons, kind of like a bookmark post. She is probably in somewhat of a state of shock. Also, the possibility of a concussion.
So she went to the hospital late at night, told her husband to go ahead and go home because the hospital said she would have a long wait. I have done that before. So when she did leave there is plenty of time to get out of the hospital at 2 or 3 am and have the events occur as she described. It’s not unusual for people to question the validity of the victim but it is sad.
Maybe I read this wrong....but where’s the part about you fighting back? He seemed to get pretty far in his disgusting assault on you.
The second he put his hands on you.....wham.....if you dont have a weapon, go for his eyes....scratch his eyes out.
Also go for his crotch.......drop something heavy on his gonads.
I don’t understand why her husband has received some vilification here. He went home as my husband had to when I was in the emergency room this summer - for hours, it seemed. If we depend on our husbands, we’re called snowflakes and if we don’t, we’re called foolish. Can’t win!
The lady was ill. Sometimes when we’re not well we make mistakes. In fact, criminologists say that people who become victims of street crime are often people who have had a bad day and are not paying attention to danger.

True. I’ll try and remove my cynical hat. It is one I wear a lot when checking MSM stories.
You are just assuming all of these things happened during the 45 minute time frame but I assumed all of the events happened during the night before even posting the LOL post.You wrote, “A time window during which the assault occurred, the police report was taken, and a walk thru the snow.” I don’t know what would make you think this all happened during that 45 minutes. She never stated that.
If you have ever been through a traumatic event you know your brain can be a bit fuzzy and sometimes you even find odd things humorous, that is the phrase “dark humor”.

In a situation like this, one has to become a wild animal. You are in a fight for your very life. Fight dirty. A knee to the crotch or scratching with fingernails is good. Fingernails are particularly good as scratches will pickup the attackers DNA.
Also good is batting the attackers ears with your open hand. Ears are surprisingly sensitive. Jabbing your fingers into their windpipe is also effective.

As the original poster had been through quite an ordeal overnight, I could see her going to FR and making a comment or two as an attempt to regain some normalcy (since she’s been a member here as of 2001).
Then some minutes later she started this thread, saying, “...I just need to talk to someone.” The timeline makes sense to me, first a head injury, then deciding to go to the hospital Sunday night, then sending her husband home in the early AM today, then the taxi ride home during which she was assaulted, then dealing with the police by writing a statement and gathering evidence, then going to the usual place (FR) before falling asleep this morning to talk and request some advice from our great members.
[As to the time listed on posts, in some cases I have seen the time being shown as the server time in California, three hours earlier than my time zone]

Cut off the guy’s breathing. That’ll make his stop attacking.

I’m so sorry to hear that this has happened to you.
I hope you will press charges. Besides that creep being brought to justice, he shouldn’t be able to continue driving a taxi. He will do this to other women, and probably already has.

Report it to the police and cooperate fully. Also, take full benefit of any victim counseling and support services. You need and deserve help in coping with the effects of the assault you have experienced.
I agree. Very important to stay ahead of this situation. No matter if you were “woozy”, said something “questionable” to mislead him - I’m a Father of boys and NO means NO. I hate that we have sick, twisted people that pray on innocent women and children.

You are correct that the posts were at 10:20AM on the 26th. Not PM. My mistake. However, there are posts during the 6am hour on the 27th. Just before this vanity was posted. They include comments on the Bali volcano and the upcoming royal wedding, I believe. And the comments include her posting “LOL” just before writing a vanity about getting raped at some point in the previous 12 hours or so. And as I already said in my original post, if I am wrong, I apologize.
