I'm surprised that only 6.4% of TV characters that are gay. Seems more like 10-15%.

I’m surprised, too.

But, if you take the percentage of shows that depict gays favorably, and inject them prominently where it isn’t necessary, it’s probably 75%. Higher, if you consider shows made in the last 5 to 10 years.

What I don’t get is how prominently homosexual content is labeled and categorized.

Netflix, Hulu, Amazon... they all have categories for gay crap, right along Comedy, Drama, Adventure, Horror, etc...

On one hand, I hate seeing the categories displayed. On the other hand, it makes it easy to avoid all that horseshit programming.

How long before the deviants complain that their crap is being made too easy to avoid?

TV just isn’t depraved enough for GLAAD. Wonder what Corey Feldman thinks about that.

“It’s long past time for television to introduce more diverse LGBTQ characters on multiple levels,” including those with disabilities and of diverse religious backgrounds.

Tinier and tinier boxes, forever.

Wonder what the percentage is for homosexuals playing heterosexuals on TV shows?

Big Bang Theory, How I met Your Mother and White Collar to name just three.

Why don’t they just make every character a wonderful, warm, witty, lovable, beautiful LGBTQXYZ-whatever character, and the rest of us will just stop watching TV.

My viewing is simple: If a movie or TV show has lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, non-binary or asexual characters for any reason other than to support the plot/story, the show is propaganda. I do not watch propaganda.

Too much obsession with the appropriate numbers of the various types of non-normal sex practitioners!
Betting they won’t hire a normal White Christian male as announcer.

There was a time when I used to think conservatives who got rid of their TVs were a little off the rails. Now I’m with them. Although we still have 3 TVs in our home, one is never turned on, one is tuned to Fox News for a couple of hours a night, and the one in my room is on only for major breaking news and occasionally to watch TCM or classic TV series. TV is now truly a vast wasteland, boring, trite, way overly politically correct, no talent trash.

Actually they are over represented. They make up two percent but show six percent. That’s three times more.
