I thought a descendant of Ben Cartwright would be #1.

I wonder what happened to Ted Turner. He used to be on of the top land owners.

The Drummond Family is STILL kicking Jeff Bezos @ss. I can live with that!

Off to buy more Pioneer Woman Merchandise! Thanks for the inspiration to keep Bezos below them! ;)

The Irvings [Canada] own a good chunk of Maine. Lots and lots of softwoods.

Must be why they call it ....

Well good for them! I had never heard of them until her show, but I love watching them on the ranch!
They are very down to earth and humble considering that wealth.

Ted Turner was once asked about his 10,000 acre compound in Patagonia and what it was for. He said, "that's where I'll go when the revolution starts.

That was just something I read a long time ago. A search turned up this.

Interesting list...I’d be happy with 10 Acres on a lake.

The largest ranch in the U.S. is not in Texas or Oklahoma. It is the Lykes Family Ranch in Florida.

Their cowboys have lasso’s but they mainly use whips and dogs.

Interesting article, I live in Tulsa, and used to sing a cappella with the other gal mentioned in the article, Karen Crawford ~ saw her when I went to The Mercantile in Pawhuska recently ~ very cool!

Been spending quite a bit of time in Oklahoma for work this fall. Love the people, their work ethic and hospitality have been wonderful. It seems very Business Friendly.

Also - if you’re traveling through the state and have the opportunity, the fried chicken at Eischen’s in Okarche and the Coconut Creme Pie at Clanton’s in Vinita are the best I’ve ever had, and 2nd place isn’t even close. Also, Murphy’s Diner/Steakhouse in Bartlesville is a wonderful place to stop for lunch or dinner.
