It’s called “the Osage.” North central. NW of Tulsa about 50 miles or so, and then on to the Kansas border. It is a bit of a checkerboard, but there are lots of contiguous areas.

It’s in the tall grass prairie country. Cattle and oil. The Ozarks are to the east, Permian redbeds to the west, Flinthills to the north and Crosstimbers to the south....kind of.

It’s in the middle of nowhere according to Ree when she starts her cooking show which is great and they have the CUTEST, most hard working family, and I’m pretty sure Christian.

Their land is in Osage County in Northern Oklahoma. Osage county is the largest county in Oklahoma, and includes the Osage Prairie Preserve. The Drummond family includes more than just Ladd and Ree, and they have been prominent in Northern Oklahoma for multiple generations. Ree built the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in the little backwater town of Fairfax and has turned a dying little town into a travelers’ destination. She is quite a businesswoman.
