I was sad we did not see a Kershaw/Verlander matchup; however, both pitchers will be in the bull pens tomorrow....all hands on deck...

Saw this written, if this is so, it’s frustrating and it’s maybe winning the title by buying the best team

See some of the above posts regarding this - most of the high salary players aren't even on the WS roster, or even on the team.

I was just watching the Dodgers post-game interviews on the Dodger channel. Joc Pederson had his brother, who has down's syndrome, with him in the interview room answering questions. I thought it was pretty cool of a WS star to do that for his brother.

Chris Taylor started the year in AAA this year, not AA. He started the year in Oklahoma City, the Dodgers AAA team

I don’t know how it is now, but back in the day when the World Series was a big part of a player’s pay, players only got money for the first four games. The revenue for games beyond the fourth game went into something like a retirement fund.

Still, quite a year for him considering he did not make the team out of spring training and had to learn a new position after being called up to the bigs!

“and he will be paid (by someone) commensurately.”

Not the Pirates. We like to trade players like Altuve a year or two before free agency so that we get prospects and financial flexibility for the eventual playoff run in 2078.

The owner of the Pirates is a textbook example of why socialism fails. He gets free money from both the government (interest payments on the new stadium) and MLB (revenue sharing). He only does the bare minimum to keep things chugging along. He doesn’t care about paying down the stadium since taxpayers cover that bill. If too few people show up, MLB increases its welfare check to the Pirates.

I wish they’d move the Pirates or contract the team out of existence to be honest ... I hate what that scummy, filthy deadbeat owner has done to that team.

Sorry for the rant :-).

Yes, Taylor has been playing great both infield & outfield & really solidified the lead off spot with his hitting & speed. He pretty much came out of nowhere.

I’m rooting for Astros (never thought I would say that or write that).

But the Dodgers have more pitching and a better bullpen.

Teams with the better bullpen tend to win the World Series. Dodgers take it tomorrow night.

It hurts me to write that but that’s the way I see it.

Oh well, at least Vin Scully will be happy. So at least that’s something, I guess.

He was on fire. 7 k’s in 12 hitters? Houston’s amazing offense didn’t come through. I still see this as Houston’s series to lose.

He has screwed that team over...I get it. They could have been the Astros about two years ago. But he wouldn’t supplement a really good team when he could have.

I HATE the Dodgers, have since 1963 when they swept the Yanks in the WS that year. But reality is setting in!

Man, ‘63 was a fabulous series...changing of the guard...Koufax beats Whitey Ford twice.

And Yogi has one of the greatest quotes ever about Sandy Koufax, when the press told him his record was 25-5...he said “well, I understand how he got 25 wins, it’s the five losses I don’t believe!”

It's one thing to hate the Spankees. I mean, who doesn't. With their old timey stripey shirts and filthy New York attitudes. Seriously. Get a rope.

How could you hate the Dodgers. They are just so damn cute with their pretty blue hats and Vin Scully and palm trees in their stadium and pretty girls in the stands.

GO DODGERS!!!!
