A bird did that? Yeah right.
I agree. I think it was a shape shifting, sky diving alien disguised as an eagle.
It was a pterodactyl.
What’s more worrisome is the pilot didn’t explain. Maybe the pilot and muzzy maintenance crew didn’t bother doing their pre flight check.
Very easily my friend.
If the aircraft was "only" doing 250 knots (the allowed airspeed below 10,000 feet) and it was a 6 pound goose migrating South the energy of impact would be about 15,000 foot lbs. If at altitude and doing the normal cruising speed of 500 knots you are looking at 60,000 foot pounds of energy. If the aircraft was heading north and the goose heading south add a few more thousands of foot pounds to the impact force.
Probably an off course, lost, drone.
Maybe it was a really big bird:
An exceptionally large male of race B. c. maxima, which rarely exceed 8 kg (18 lb), weighed 10.9 kg (24 lb) and had a wingspan of 2.24 m (7.3 ft).

Yep a bird did that.. Boeing was firing chickens at their flight deck and one went right through the skin and into the C/B panel thus they had to strengthen the surface by the windshield..
