I stand by my opinion: This is NOT a good story for Trump. Keeping it going is not beneficial.
The semi-illiterate “grieving wife” is saying and doing exactly like she was told by Mrs Al Sharpton. But, even with that, what she said Trump said was not disrespectful in the least. It’s her opinion of what he said, of course after being coached by Mrs. Sharpton. Has anyone asked her yet why a member of Congress, that just happens to be a Trump hater was in the government supplied limo for family members.
Of course, you are 100% correct. It's all a setup. They were informed, ahead of time, about when the call would be made. It was no accident that Wilson was in the limo.
In ANY debate vs Wilson, we win. Even the dimwitted Dems figured that out. So, now they are putting the widow out front.
IMO, Trump CANNOT win any battle vs the widow.... no matter what. There is nothing he can say, tweet, or do that will swing public perception to his side. The best course of action is: to let this issue go away due to lack of interest.
Yes ..the widow does not seem well educated..and to think she went on National TV just 48 hours after burying her husband.
She will now be used and controlled by liberal and democrats..and probably spend her ‘go fund me’ education monies meant for her children, for more wigs, more nail jobs, and a wardrobe..sad to say that, but that is what I think will happen..
As for the ‘empty barrel’ I hope the voters in FL. send her a message and tell her to shut the hell up and get back to work in Washington D.C. she will get a vacation soon enough, but there is work to be done,( as if she will do any thing beneficial ). I am out here in flyover country and see nothing wrong with President Trump setting the record straight with a military widow or anyone else. If he doesn’t say anything many will assume it is true.
We elected a fighter, he is going to fight. He is not going to cower quietly and allow the left to steam roll over him. I voted for him because I hoped he would stand up to the left, we have not had any leadership that would for a very long time. The left has been steamrolling our leaders and us without a thought. I am fed up with that.
I am a huge supporter of the military, my family has and continues to serve. We have current active duty family members, one who was fairly recently where these men were killed. I have great respect for those that die in the service of our country and great sympathy for their families. I don’t let them off the hook if they decide to grandstand for the liberals.
I’d say she is lying under the influence - of Wilson. Do you really think Trump would make a call to a widow not knowing his name?? Why would his five minute call be any different from the one a different widow released?
Trump needs to call out liars and the way those liars manipulate others.

You are missing one vital point. The other three calls were made to the Families of Caucasian Soldiers.
This call was different because the Soldier was Black and everyone knows that Trump is a Racist.
The Trump Whitehouse has two sets of Condolence Call talking points, one for Whitey and one for anyone else, AKA NON-Whitey.

I believe, the remarks by Gen Kelly were forceful, and to the point. Nothing REALLY needed to be said after that. Every tweet since that day has only served to keep the issue alive, when it doesn't need to be. NOTHING new has been disclosed by anyone. Why is it still in the news?
