Those are leftover Ski Runs from when the aliens Skied the Lava Flows.
Your theory makes sense.
Good hypothesis. I guess my quesion would then be “where are these other newer stone structures?” I suppose the answer is that they would be under a mountain of sand somewhere. Seems like there are none in this vast lava field so they came to take the rocks and move them to some vast distance. Except these aren’t some specially quarried rocks, they’re just a bunch of rough rocks like you’d find anywhere. so why bother lugging them to who knows where?
I think I see an EZ-Pass lane in one of the photos.
That is my thought, too. The ultimate in “recycling”... an entire civilization folded under earth’s mantle and melted into oblivion. Erased so completely that it never was.
Where the morlocks held the eloi
Animal pens would be my first guess, but maybe they were property lines for agricultural fields? Divert some drying wind, or just provide and orderly way to handle the rocks plowed up when clearing the field?
Maybe they helped with some agricultural task, like a place to lay out some of the harvest for drying, while keeping it off the ground to minimize rot. Perhaps a vine plant might be trained to grow on the wall as a support, to keep it off the ground (like peas, melons or grapes).
The rocks may have been the base for an additional wood, lath, mud/mud brick or cloth structure; for support, containment, shelter or shade.
I always wondered about that. Would make a good book.
Above is one of the round "rooms" found by the Desert Team where the lines of "kites" intersect. In the background, you can also see one of the low lines that extends from this "room."
Below is a good image showing how low the lines are.
Also, it is not a gate. It is a door. You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into... the Twilight Zone.
Archeologists thought those were for tax collection. (When ancient taxes were paid in grain and produce).

Thanks TXnMA. I think your earlier posting on these structures is the best suggestion -- that at least the longer ones were laid down to channel water, and the "rooms" could be pools or ponds to retain the runoff, as the rainfall declined thousands of years ago. BTW, the geographical description given in the Old Testament for the location of Eden may refer to two now-vanished rivers that flowed out of Arabia and met the other two in a now-flooded spot under what is now the Persian Gulf.

Nice! I just got a job as a translator with this life hack!

Lol
Whoa!
Again!
I have my own theory, but this time, I’ll keep it to myself, since it’s not quite formed into something recognizable by others.
