I call BS.
Did the other group have a reservation there? My company held a function there recently and we had to schedule it weeks ahead of time. There are some parts of the Botanical Garden that allow groups to book private events. That’s how a lot of these parks get revenue.
1. Did the Gardens know they were coming that day that time ???
2. Did they have reservations/agreement for that day, time ???
3. Did they come too early/late ???
4. Was another school still in the exhibit area, late leaving etc ???
5. They were allowed in though weren’t they ???
6. How long was the delay in entering ???
7. Were they all there and ready to enter at that time ???
8. Did they all have tickets ???
9. Were the tickets for that day that time ???
10. Did they have too many in their party for the group limit ???
The Qs are numerous since little info has been given...
Maybe because too much truth will reveal she is lying ???
I'm not sure what this means. I wish the reporter had elaborated. I'm guessing the real issue was some screwup--either by the school or the garden--regarding the size of the group or scheduling.
The white kids need indoctrination into commie artwork more than the black kids.
A month before the alleged incident in the Bronx, a group of mostly black Brooklyn high school kids were kicked out of the Guggenheim just 20 minutes into their visit, after a few were accused of unruly behavior.
About 80 kids from Downtown Brooklyns Science Skills Center HS were forced to wait an hour on the sidewalk for their bus in April 2015, after one kid allegedly spat inside the museums rotunda lobby and another threw a penny off its winding walkway. The school was then banned from the Upper East Side institution.
Sounds like the reporter is excusing this kind of behavior.
So white is the opposite of hispanic? Didn’t know that.
Look, it’s over. The garden is toast. There is no defense against that. Even if they had solid proof that an aardvaark had pooped all over the floor and that no one was allowed in, it wouldn’t matter. The non-white is always right. The white is always wrong. Just turn over the garden to them now and get it over with.
My BS meter is pegged out. Clearly way more to this story than they would like you to hear.
The obvious question is why anyone would want to see any of Frida Kahlo’s crap to begin with.
Who’s paying for the lawsuit? Those aren’t cheap.
One group had reservations and one did not?
School groups are supposed to make reservations for such large groups. Did the charter school make a reservation? Were there problems with the behavior of some of their students? Did they come on time? These and other questions are not addressed in this very poorly written article, which mixes 2 different stories into one. This gorgeous garden, which I have visited many times, has a very large educational program for students; I can’t imagine they would bar students unless there was a serious problem such as I stated above.
