Did the other group have a reservation there? My company held a function there recently and we had to schedule it weeks ahead of time. There are some parts of the Botanical Garden that allow groups to book private events. That’s how a lot of these parks get revenue.
They paid their money and had it accepted. Is that a reservation? Beats me, but I couldn’t imagine taking a group without being confident of getting in.
