Michelle Obama’s condescending and disgracefully out of touch advice to job-seeking women

Isn’t Michelle Obama adorable? She actually thinks she is a typical woman in the United States, and that she can speak for all of us.

Michelle says she has no interest in running for president, trying to shatter what Hillary Clinton called the “highest and hardest glass ceiling,” but she might consider bursting out of that elitist, condescending Beltway Bubble.

Speaking recently at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women, Obama pushed women to speak up for themselves in the workplace. “Don’t waste your seat at the table,” she said. “If you are scared to use your voice, then you’ve got to get up and give it to someone who isn’t afraid to use the spot.”

Such good advice, coming from someone whose idea of hardship was graduating from Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and whose husband has always been there to provide for her.

-snip-

In 2014 she told the White House Working Families Summit how she once applied for a job at the University of Chicago Medical Center with her newborn baby in tow, and on the spot demanded flexible hours so that she could care for her growing family. She told her prospective employer, "If you want me to do the job, you've got to pay me to do the job and you've got to give me flexibility."

Doesn’t that sound like a terrific negotiating premise? I can’t do the job unless you bend the rules for me, possibly alienating my co-workers? Come on. Most women (or men) insisting on such special treatment would be shown the door.

-snip-

At the time that Michelle made that bold demand, her husband was a state senator in Illinois, and preparing to run for the U.S. Senate. He had earlier been a high-profile community organizer in Chicago, earning significant visibility within the city’s black community.

Sure they are.

Whether it’s committing and excusing sexual harassment or keeping blacks and Latinos on the welfare plantation . . . it’s never about them, when in reality, it’s always about them and their fraud and misconduct

WakeUp people........these jerks could care less about you and your loved ones. Stop acquiescing in their BS

“She told her prospective employer, “If you want me to do the job, you’ve got to pay me to do the job and you’ve got to give me flexibility.”

She truly is a horrible sasquatch, even before the “all this for a flag” crap.

>> “If you want me to do the job, you’ve got to pay me to do the job and you’ve got to give me flexibility.”

I would not hire anyone who said that. I also would not hire anyone who brought a kid to a job interview.

I support kids and I support moms, both in the workplace and in the home - their choice. But a mom (or dad) who pulled this stunt is telling me “I can’t even handle the child care issue for an interview. My mind is not on the job; it’s only on what you can do for me. I am going to be a giant pain in the butt and you’ll be lucky to get any useful work out of me at all.”

Who is she kidding? She never had to apply for a job. It was given her because her husband was a State Legislator. When he was elected Senator, her salary more than doubled. When he was elected President, her job at the hospital was eliminated. I’m sure Gov. Blogojevich played a huge role in her job history, and salary.

......Chewbacca once again confirming the phenomenon of the angry and bossy black woman with a major chip on her shoulder.

Honestly, it’s hard to imagine any real man, black or white, finding attractive an angry beyotch like like Chewbacca, Maxine, or that ugly dumb@ss with the cowboy hats. When asked why so many black athletes marry white women, Charles Barkley famously replied, “Would YOU marry a black woman?”

And I have a very clear recollection that Moochie said ‘I was surprised I got into Princeton with the test scores (SAT) I received’. And I thought at the time, so she doesn’t realize she was an AFFIRMATIVE ACTION pick??? And yes, her job at the Uni of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics was not filled after she left. AFAICT, mostly what she did was make sure many of those who came in to be treated were turfed out to lesser hospitals in the area. I think her job definition had the words ‘community outreach’ in it. What a worthless piece of ???????

What can you expect from a woman whose main resume feature is a 250K no show job at some Chicago hospital which she “earned” because she was married to a big shot politician.....

Community Relations jobs are always 100% BS. They consist of attending breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, baseball games, golf tournaments, etc. I doubt if Chewbacca did anything that remotely resembled work.

Uh, IIRC she was paid $350,000/year for doing nothing at the Uni of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics.

When Barry Hussein stole his Senate seat, Michael Obama got a 350% salary increase in the affirmative action job he/she was in.

250K, 350K - when you’re not doing anything anyway and the taxpayers are footing the bill, what’s 100K one way or the other......
