I’ll probably get flamed but she’s done well.
If she was in her twenties, maybe..but she was 16.
And the director was likely more than a few years older.
Understand that every female (and every child and likely most males) have done well in Hollywood because of the “casting couch.”
She managed to survive with her hubris intact.
“Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am?”
That's what they hop on that couch. 20-30 minutes of discomfort and humiliation for Reese Witherspoon's success. Few girls would say no, and those that do get a bus ticket back home to Loserville and maybe their old job at Walmart. They'll never work in Hollywood.
I’d LOVE to see just ONE of these Hollywood women come forward and explain why they were silent and complicit for so long.
The fact is they, and in many cases, their families, wanted the money and fame AND HAD NO PROBLEM with what they had to do to get it.
Evil cannot flourish without consent.
This smells too much like yet another low down game to score something.
