This has been going on since the beginning of warfare, the technologies to integrate everyone just keep changing.

JAG will probably be able to over-ride each individual ‘soldier’ being able to fire his weapon.

And yeah, Skynet was the first thing I thought of too.

This is what the Army was to become under Future Combat Systems. It died under it's own weight and reliance on external programs with big problems of their own (think JTRS). Since FCS died and JTRS moved to discrete programs, the Army slowed progress toward that vision.

Plus, they can't afford it.

...and a single 17-year old wunderkind will hack in with just six keystrokes and take over the world.

Because the password was set to passw0rd.

Sounds good, but we can’t even get our supply systems to talk to each other.

Speaking of the Navy, for all these look latest "stealth" ships being produced it's my opinion that a diver or a small boat can simply pull alongside it and board them and no one on board will notice them until the shooting starts.

That "feature" of stealth ship was in the James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough with Pierce Brosman, where he got aboard the enemy ship by simply driving up to it at night.

And of course they have the good old Russian software Kaspersky Antivirus running in the background. ....

Exactly. I can see future battles where a major effort will be made to break into the info system and feed false information to headquarters and send false orders to soldiers. A powerful battle information system can become the Achilles heel of an army.
