ORIGINAL POST: The media crashed and burned last night over a Democratic Party lie about a deal on amnesty for some illegal aliens.
After a dinner with the president, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer said, “We agreed to enshrine the protections of DACA into law quickly, and to work out a package of border security, excluding the wall, that’s acceptable to both sides.”
There is no deal. The president said so this morning. Pelosi and Schumer jumped the gun because they hope to gain leverage in a situation in which the president holds the trump card.
Everybody who panicked about this Fake News was a fool. That includes Representative Steve King, a Republican from Iowa, whom I like.
A lie travels around the world before the truth puts its shoes on.
People who railed against President Trump for "caving" made two mistakes.
They believed Pelosi and Schumer. They believed the media.
Me? I trusted President Trump.
I read their statement and knew it was a lie, or to be kind, an embroidery of the truth.
The reason tip-off were the words, "excluding the wall."
Of course the wall was excluded.
It's off the table.
President Trump has authorization for it. A 2006 law made it so. He is not going to relinquish that authority.
But there is no Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals law. It does not exist. DACA is an executive order, at best a blanket use of prosecutorial discretion.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions called it as unconstitutional.
Trump let the Pelosi-Schumer lie slide until this morning. He literally lost no sleep over it because their lie helps him in negotiations, and that is what they are doing: negotiating.
The only agreement they came to was what to talk about.
He made it plain to them that the wall is not negotiable.
Today, he tweeted:
"No deal was made last night on DACA. Massive border security would have to be agreed to in exchange for consent. Would be subject to vote. The WALL, which is already under construction in the form of new renovation of old and existing fences and walls, will continue to be built."
Got that? The wall is off the table.
Pelosi and Schumer's bargaining position is weak. They are in the minority.
But they do have a position, and they seem to be surrogates for Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell. Either man could stop a floor vote on any agreement
They won't.
This is a do-nothing Congress. Donald Trump's is a very active presidency. Contrast and compare. Congress needs leadership. Trump will provide it.
Meanwhile, anyone who said he caved on the wall is a fool.

On the other hand the so called republican leaders will do the same the only difference is they will be grinning.
Mr President I believe the only alliance you need is We The People, they pretend differently but ultimately and by design they fear us, the course you laid out was right, good and strong stay that course.

Letting them stay is amnesty.
Rewarding illegal aliens by allowing them to stay gets us more illegal aliens.
The 1986 amnesty was sold as being less than a million, that turned into 3.5 million.
Now we have 10 times that number of illegal aliens.
The 11 million they have been using for 15 years is more like 30 million +

You know when Bush was in office they were talking about given a pathway to citizenship to 11 million people. The immigration debate is now about given legal status to a subset of a subset and a border wall. Everyone accepts that they all have to be “good” youth who are looking for work etc. There is absolutely no debate about the now 20 million illegals. I’ll see how this plays out but as I’m seeing it right now Dems are basically begging for crumbs. Trump is starting to peel away who gets in with DACA also (those who work, military, not on gov assistance). They’ll soon be happy to get a subset of a subset of a subset legalized. If Trump limits legal immigration and ties it to jobs as well as gets a wall this will end up being a huge win. People are so afraid of debate nowadays so they think that Trump talking means capitulation. The left and the right politicos are snowflakes if you ask me. Everyone wants what they want without debate. Cowards, the whole lot of them. Fear of the debate is not what makes the country great.

DACA is already rife with fraud.
Illegal aliens are barred from enlisting in the military.
No deal yet. No bill yet. No law yet.
We shall see what the final bill looks like, if and when
there is a bill.

It’s not adulation. It is recognition that America is in a war for our survival.
We (Trump supporters) are IN THAT WAR, to the best of our abilities.
There are plenty of FAKE NEWS channels to criticize Trump. Check it out if you’re interested.
BTW, it is not necessary to win every battle in order to win a war.(Ask North Vietnam. They never won a single battle, yet won the war.)
