North Korea has said it has developed a more advanced nuclear weapon that has "great destructive power” amid World War 3 fears.

Kim Jong-un’s state media mouthpiece NCNA declared the hydrogen bomb's power is adjustable to hundreds of kilotons and can be detonated at high altitudes.

Fat Kim SAYS he has thermonukes ready for missile deployment. So?

Fat Kim says a lot of things. Proof is a little scarce, though.

Load one up and fire it, Fat Kim. Pick a blank spot in the Pacific and PROVE to the world that you have viable nukes and missiles to carry them.

Show us what you’ve got. Go ahead. We need proof. We really do.

Would he go after the Cheese Eating Surrender Monkeys? Of course, Macaroni might turn them into fondue.

So far. It seems to be a wild hair of the Bear.

But again maybe he (and China) are thinking that it’s just great jolly fun, and sure the civilized world will nuke NK out of the picture at some point, but in the mean time hold my Russki and Chinese beers and watch this.

He may be taking a page out of Harry Truman’s book. The US did not give the Japanese an early taste of what they were about to receive, so he may be copying.

I believe that the NorKs do not yet have the technology to be anywhere near a fusion bomb unless Putin or the Chicoms are providing the technology. I believe that it is pure bluster on Kimmie Young One’s part. He hasn’t yet seen DJT do much more than the Kenyan fellow, so I believe he thinks he is playing bullsh*& poker. He doesn’t realize how close he is to taking a dirt nap. Is there an equivalent to Fort Marcy Park in Pyongyang?

>>Can you say EMP?<<

I've read a couple of articles that indicates our intelligence community is concerned that NK may have a device on board one of the two satellites orbiting the earth. As it passes over the United States, the reports suggest they could detonate over our territory....thus creating an EMP.

Whether true or not, can't say. Sounds plausible given the Norks would love to be able to have this sort of capability over the U.S.. If attacked by the U.S., who knows?

"It seems clear to me that fat boy has been getting lots
of help from Russia and Ukraine."

I also believe this is what is happening.
Rogue elements in Russia and Ukraine are giving
know-how and possibly actual technology to the NKs.
They're probably doing it for money, giving the NKs just
just enough know-how to finish the job on their own so
it looks like a home-made NK device.

These people must know what the North Korean leadership is
like. The real question is why are they doing it?
It must be for something more than just money. They know
the Norks are crazy and their use of an atomic weapon
on the US may possibly start a nuclear war that might include
Russia or China.
Is everybody involved in this operation that insane?

Insane? Probably. Remember there are people that set forests on fire just to see them burn. This is a like a potential forest fire on steroids.

Obviously SK has good defenses. They have shared a border with the most Stalinist country in the world for over 60 years.

BS requirements for a hydrogen bomb include plutonium and tritium.

That'll get you a fission device. You need other stuff that is hard to create and shaped/assembled exactly the correct way to create a thermonuclear device.

“Is everybody involved in this operation that insane?”

That’s the most likely explaination I’ve seen.

This is from Wikipedia, I originally read it somewhere else, but it was some ago and I don’t have that reference.

The 82-ton “Mike” device was essentially a building that resembled a factory rather than a weapon. It has been reported that Soviet engineers derisively referred to Mike as a “thermonuclear installation”.

The US just wanted to prove a fusion bomb was possible and smaller weapons were soon developed.

Which means, if this is true, that China gave it to them.

Disturbing implications.
