Never heard of her OR her song.
Another enlightened poster coming to a thread not to discuss but to answer the age old question, Duh?
You need to get out more...
Are you a Generaiton Xer? That song was big hit during the mid 80s.

It’s an extremely annoying song from the 1980s like most of the music back then. Hands down, the absolute worst decade for music. Its when the music biz realized they could sell records by simply having a cute video rather than a good song and the overall music quality sank faster that Hillarys face on election night and personally, I don’t think it’s ever recovered.
It’s rap by a white girl with chord or two. Tough to call it a song.
It’s more like a parody sung by Robin Sparkles on ‘How I Met Your Mother’.
Neither have these guys.
It was one of the first music videos on MTV.
Sure, you must have. Back in the 80’s.
“Oh Mickey, you’re so fine
You’re so fine you blow my mind, hey Mickey,
Hey Mickey”
Rinse and repeat a dozen more times.
Never heard of her, but I know the song--and I'm going to play it right here, without asking her permission.

Wow, that’s surprising. I was always amazed that she came out with her hit song (and hit video) when she was 39 years old. She still looked great in her original high school cheerleader uniform and was clearly a better dancer (well, she was a professional!) than the girls in the video who were probably 15 years younger than she was at the time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93uQSc0v6-Y
Here’s a video of her showing some of her amazing dance moves from 1964 until 2016: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzVvpiv_NIA
Here she is at the 1:50 minute mark chatting with Bing Crosby on the set for Robin and the Seven Hoods (1964): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUZXOdsEPJo
You must be too old or too young to remember the summer of 1982 if memory serves. My best friend thought she was incredibly hot and it played multiple times an hour on the radio.
I don’t remember if she was hot and didn’t care for the song, but I can still hear it in my head.
