Good question. And does the Night King know the magic word to make the dragon spit fire? Or does it matter? I just saw a writeup of last night’s episode on the Houston Comical site, and it suggests that the final season might not be until 2019. Hope that’s not the case.
Hmmm... I think it’s a shame when men lose their ability to fantasize and imagine a magical place.
I can’t stand reality shows; that includes sports. If I’m going to spend time watching TV or a movie I want to be entertained. I like the new advanced CGI that gives us an even better look into those worlds of fantasy.
This is why the Hobbit/Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter movies were so popular and why superhero movies are possible to an entirely new and improved level of visual effects.
Imagine what it will be like when we switch to 3D!! It will be like you are actually there but invisible and can’t be heard. Only an observer.
Hubby and I were talking of the "prophecy", where Cersei is killed by her "little" brother. Now, most would immediately assume that, that would be Tyrion. But, according to lore, Cersei is the eldest twin, and Jaimie is the younger of the two.
So, we were discussing what it would take for Jaimie to kill Cersei. He killed the Mad King for even suggesting the use of Wildfire on his enemies. Cersei actually DID use wildfire on her enemies, and he seems unbothered by it. Hypocrite.
So, we decided that Cersei would have to harm someone that Jaimie really cares about. I came up with Breienne. I think she and Jaimie have a connection with one another and that would really bother Cersei as she believes any deviation from devotion to her completely and totally devoted to her, is a betrayal. Would Cersei kill Brienne? Would Jaimie kill Cersei for doing so? Who knows; but, that is one theory I came up with to explain how the prophecy may work out.
Thoughts?
I think the rather rapid movement of large groups of people over great distances, has been talked about. Dany has her dragons; but, how everyone else is getting from place to place so quickly is a puzzlement.
There is a quote from pulp writer Jim Thompson: “There are 32 ways to tell a story, and I’ve used them all; but there is only one plot — Things Are Not As They Seem.”
No doubt that Cersei, Jaimie and Brienne form a triangle. Brienne represents all that is honorable and good. Cersei is the polar opposite. Jaimie is the most complex and somewhere in between the two, yet will side with Brienne and Tyrion in the end, as has been hinted throughout the saga.
BTW, Tyrion likely will end up with Sansa Stark. His love and admiration for her has always been hinted.
Actually as I remember those scenes Jaimie seemed very bothered by Ceresi’s methods. He didn’t articulate it but the actor did a good job of showing it in his face.

I’m not the only person planning to drop HBO after the final season 7 episode. The longer they go before season 8, the less chance I have of re-subscribing. I suspect HBO senses this and will put the heat on the Davids to bring in season 8 quickly — which they will resist for artistic reasons.
Well, Jon has been dashing up & down a rather stormy coastline using traiding vessels. But those ships can catch an adverse wind and not be able to move on anything like a regular schedule.
I just hope the red headed Wildling gets to hump Brienne. They are perfect for each other.
So far we don’t even know that the Night King speaks ... he has never said a word.
One other possibility is they thread the needle and have half the 6 episodes next year and the last half in 2019 to buy them more time if they really need it.
All that CGI stuff really takes a while to do correctly. I’d rather wait for it to be done right than for them to rush and half step it.
Something I have always wondered, what are you exactly damaging when your whacking a zombie with a sword or hammer or even sticking with a spear? Tree are no vital organs to damage!
