Humans shouldn’t eat any grains, anyway.

I have been discovering that government/agribusiness propaganda has been incredibly effective. Most people believe they will DIE without carbohydrates. “You need carbohydrates for energy!”

If course, virtually everyone believes we need three meals a day, when three meals a week is more like it.

A recent study from France about the gerbils becoming extremely cannibalistic when in proximity to monoculture cornfields provided me with new thoughts about food choices.

It’s called sugar. Most breakfast cereals are loaded with it.

At most, we eat, ‘cereal’ once a week. Home made granola in yogurt, with fresh fruit.

In the winter it’s oatmeal. With fresh fruit.

Where are we going wrong?

Avoid processed carbs and most sugars. Our bodies are simply not designed for this crap. But do NOT listen to vegans and avoid butter, eggs and meats. Those morons sub the poisons margarine and canola oil instead.

Get rid of high fructose corn syrup. It is used to fatten cattle and by aliens to fatten humans.

I'll never understand why journalists do not link to the original article or abstract. Worse, they fail to post the title of the work. Nature Communications is open access. The entire paper can be found here:

Endocrine disruptors induce perturbations in endoplasmic reticulum and mitochondria of human pluripotent stem cell derivatives

Abstract

Persistent exposure to man-made endocrine disrupting chemicals during fetal endocrine development may lead to disruption of metabolic homeostasis contributing to childhood obesity. Limited cellular platforms exist to test endocrine disrupting chemical-induced developmental abnormalities in human endocrine tissues. Here we use an human-induced pluripotent stem cell-based platform to demonstrate adverse impacts of obesogenic endocrine disrupting chemicals in the developing endocrine system. We delineate the effects upon physiological low-dose exposure to ubiquitous endocrine disrupting chemicals including, perfluoro-octanoic acid, tributyltin, and butylhydroxytoluene, in endocrine-active human-induced pluripotent stem cell-derived foregut epithelial cells and hypothalamic neurons. Endocrine disrupting chemicals induce endoplasmic reticulum stress, perturb NF-κB, and p53 signaling, and diminish mitochondrial respiratory gene expression, spare respiratory capacity, and ATP levels. As a result, normal production and secretion of appetite control hormones, PYY, α-MSH, and CART, are hampered. Blocking NF-κB rescues endocrine disrupting chemical-induced aberrant mitochondrial phenotypes and endocrine dysregulation, but not ER-stress and p53-phosphorylation changes.

Or it could be mutations from the electric shocks they used to convert the adult cells to stem cells.

What a pile.....not that i dont care about the effect of chemicals on our systems...but...these are induced pluripotent cells...we dont know if they behave exactly like natural cells...also this test is in the lab...the cells tested are not subject to local biochemical effects which could be seen in whole human bodies...did they test the cells for any other endocrine disruptors...? How did they know the disruptors cause us to eat more? Could disruption make us eat less.....were the lab cells exposed to amounts that exceed commonly encountered blood concentrations in Human tissue?...doesnt sound like a real complete biochemical analysis....wait for the movie... Video at 11....

“Chemicals Found in Cereal Is Making Us Obese: Study”

Why is grammar so hard for journalists? It’s “Chemicals Found Are Making Us Obese”.

Just cut out all cereal for this reason. The fat, sugar, chemicals, and cost of the product are all excessive.

The natural health community has been saying this for DECADES, and they’ve been dismissed the whole time as kooks, crackpots, alarmists, don’t know what they are talking about, don’t have medical degrees, etc.

And it turns out that once again, they were right.
