Staring: Baihe Bai (The Kungfu girl), Boran Jing (The Grandson), and Eric Tsang (Chubby Hong Kong actor known for playing gangsters)
This one is really fun. It has good CGI and special effects along with generally high production values.
The plot is simply strange and rather convoluted and much more involved than your normal kiddie movie.
I can't really even summarize the plot other than to ask you to imagine Maurice Sendak, Bruce Lee and Stephen Spielberg deciding to remake The Lord of the Rings, only set in ancient China and staring Wonder Woman, Dr. Who and the Gremlins.
Yeah, this is that strange.
It is also roll on the floor and bang your head on the table funny
Suitable for most little kids. No sex or foul language and minimal scary violence

You can watch it on Netflix if you are in the US.
I’m gone this weekend so this get posted a day early.
I saw this when it was in theatres.
