Why the need for this legislation? Why not just ban gun free zones?

The Constitution applies EVERYWHERE, as do our Constitutional Rights.

A business owner has a right to post those signs but he doesn’t have a right to ruin another man’s life over them. That’s how I see it. This law is reasonable and just.

Why the need for this legislation? Why not just ban gun free zones?

While I avoid most of them, private businesses have the right to make stupid decisions - just like they should have the right to decide whether or not to cater to homosexual "weddings" by decorating the cake a certain way.

I like that it allows one to ignore the sign unless asked to leave before anything can be done against the gun owner - as it is now (in a lot of States) they can call the law and lodge the complaint w/o talking to you first.
