A business owner has a right to post those signs but he doesn’t have a right to ruin another man’s life over them. That’s how I see it. This law is reasonable and just.

But, taking it further, any business/citizen who in any way causes a CHL customer to face unwarranted legal consequences shall be held liable for all legal costs and damages.

That’s correct. The property owner can still ask them to leave,and the law requires that the CWP owner complies. The CWP only breaks the law if he doesn’t comply

But hasn’t this always been the case?

Which is why they kept the ability to ask someone to leave or be charged with criminal trespass. Seems like a positive compromise to me.
