Try to imagine this: You're making your way down the interstate when all of a sudden, you notice a huge snake dangling right by your driver's side window.
For Becky Reeves Castro of Spartanburg, this was no imaginary tale. This was real life.
Reeves said she, her boyfriend and her mother-in-law were all traveling from Roebuck in a truck down I-26 on Thursday when it happened.
She shared footage of the terrifying incident with us, and you've been warned - the commentary is GOLD.
Becky and the other passengers inside the truck can be heard discussing the incident in real time on the video.
"I'm telling you I'm ready to jump out of here!" said one passenger.
Reeves's boyfriend can be heard saying he kept seeing a shadow before the snake appeared. Some surprise he was in for when the reptile made his big debut!
Reeves, on the other hand, got some giggles out of the incident.
"About that time, the big black snake came across the corner, and he was busy trying to figure out how to get in. Of course everyone panicked!" said Reeves."Everyone grabbed their cell phones. I was laughing because I was raised on a farm and I was used to black snakes."
Luckily, the snake made it out of this fiasco alive. Becky and her accomplices dropped the snake off at another location before journeying on to their destination.
Could be... on the other hand at least one of them was raised on a farm so it would be abnormal if she wasn’t calm about it.
On the other hand, it does look like an unlikely place for a snake to be clinging to- there’s not much to hide in or curl around for traction on the upper corner of a truck windshield. Snake’s more likely to curl up around an axle in the wheel well.
How is it not getting blown off? Looks almost like the very end of its tail was shut in the door to hold it fast.

I had to grab a three foot black snake once to remove it from my lady boss’s office. I was surprised by two things: 1.) I actually grabbed it and 2.) the strength of the snake as it coiled around my forearm. It took a farm girl to get it off.

All they have to do is ride down I-95 and in no time at all the pot holes will bump him off. Trouble is the potholes are so big he could hide in one of them....

I’m old enough to remember when that particular combination of persons would have been the story. If true, she’s traveling with her boyfriend and her husband’s mother.
In North Carolina this happens with lizards all the time. I’ll be driving down the road and they run across the windshield. The wind catches them and they go flying.
I grew up on a farm and we used an outhouse. My friend Joe was visiting and I heard him scream as he ran out of the outhouse with his pants around his ankles... There was a big blacksnake coiled up beside the seat!!!
While blacksnakes bite, they don’t hurt when they do. You just need to pull their teeth out afterwards like briers sticking in your hand.
