It’s very hard to find any online, or offline really, organizations willing to commit numbers of terrorists. Most will deal with incidents rather than amounts of who did it. But one way to think of it is that the numbers I provided to you were only the main course that would be appealing to the media.

I mentioned when I used the words” when I left the business” of working for the Department of Defense after working for the Departments of the Air Force and Army, these were the numbers we were working with. These numbers were provided by the state department. Here is a sight that may give you an idea as to the most known groups:

You have to consider that the US is trying to be light on their calls but admitted to having Muslim terrorists in 92 different countries. And that is consistent with the SD. But the amount of locations of terrorist groups can be startling:

And also to be considered is that not all Islamic terrorists are true Muslims. Some come from America and join to go over. I live in the northwest. There are two training camps within 200 miles of my home that have supplied personnel downrange. Not to mention we have one major terrorist activity up here in the way of a facility that was founded by the Muslim Brotherhood that has been funneling money to the major terrorist groups overseas for years.

And if the US is consistent with the other countries around, that places a huge number of groups, and not close to a good inventory, all over the world. Places like the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, or even countries like Germany, France, England, or in most cases the US, are not admitting to the groups of amounts within them.

In 2011 it was reported that the United Kingdom could have as many as 100,000 converts to Islam, of which 66% were women. Islam is the fastest growing religious confession in the UK and its adherents have the lowest average age out of all the major religious groups.

Between 2001 and 2009 the Muslim population increased almost 10 times faster than the non-Muslim population The majority of Muslims in United Kingdom belong to the Sunni denomination while smaller numbers are Shia and Ahmadi. In terms of national heritage, the largest groups of British Muslims are Pakistanis and Bangladeshis. Smaller groups are Indians, Arabs, Kurds, and Africans. And this growth is consistent with many countries.

So, as you can see, I’m sure, getting the number of amounts of total terrorists is sketchy. But in recognizing the far reaching amount of possibilities probably outreaches the admitted count even though it seems high. Islamic terrorism is a very covert operation. You may see the results like the twin towers or the nightclub in Atlanta. But you don’t see the ones in the many countries scattered around the world and the amounts of people perpetrating them as they don’t make good ink and sell TV time unless it is catastrophic.
And Islam is now the second largest religion by numbers in the world, behind Christianity, at almost a quarter of the world, at 22.32% of the world’s totals .Makes a lot to choose from.
