C-SPAN 3 is broadcasting tomorrow at 2:00 pm EDT a talk I gave in NYC with my co-author:
Global Positioning System History Authors Richard Easton and Eric Frazier discuss the history and evolution of global positioning system, or GPS.
THIS PROGRAM HAS NOT YET AIRED
Airing Saturday, Jun 03 2:00pm EDT on C-SPAN3
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be tuning in.
Thanks, I’ll try to catch it. I’ll have to look for it online.
We should talk, I am starting a Geolocation company based on some products that I designed. It’s been a long road, what with compliance, case studies and methodology.
I believe that the GPS is one of the few systems that truly needed to be designed in committee by thousands of Engineers physicists mathematicians in order to get it right
Have you ever worked with Elliot Kaplan
Very cool!
Congratulations.

No. What did he do with respect to GPS?
I don’t get CSPAN at my daughters farm here in Maine.
I hope your history includes the original Systems
Program Office Direction from Space Systems Division, Los Angeles AFB.
It should be available on the internet via the link soon after the showing ends. We talk briefly about the competing Navy and Air Force systems. For a more detailed comparison you need to buy the book! My Dad, as you probably know, led the Navy’s system Timation. We gave a similar talk to Air Force Space Command last July. Gen Hyten introduced us. It was well received. You can find the link to the YouTube on www.gpsdeclassified.com
