Editors note: The following is an open letter from John R. Schindler, a professor of national security affairs at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, R.I., where he is a specialist on intelligence, terrorism, and European security issues. Prior joining the Naval War College in 2005, he spent nearly a decade with the National Security Agency as an intelligence analyst and counterintelligence officer. This article first appeared on Schindlers blog, The XX Committee, and is republished here with his permission.
Hi, its me again. Although I left the agency a few years ago, I still think about you a lot, and in recent months thanks to that awful Ed guy Ive been writing and talking about you a good deal in public. Plus, because on my very first day on the job I agreed to that whole lifetime secrecy oath thing, were separated but were never going to really get divorced, are we?
Nevertheless, there are some things Id like to get off my chest. My comments in the media in defense of intelligence, generally if not always specifically, have led to me getting a lot of flak from haters about being a "shill" for the NSA and whatnot. Of course, thats not true. There are things that need change at the agency, and the unprecedented catastrophe of the Snowden case offers an overdue chance to start making smart changes in how the NSA does business. Id like to suggest a few.

Former NSA agent John Schindler made the claims about Trump's team Friday
Schindler said chief Mike Rogers told staff at an agency-wide meeting this week
'There's no question we have evidence of election involvement and questionable contacts with the Russians,' Rogers explained,
according to Schindler Former agent also called on Rogers to testify before intelligence committees
And what did past NSA Directors do about Hillary’s ILLEGAL private server?
When the NSA does it job as prescribed by law it is a force for good. The NSA has become a political rouge agency. It no longer is a force for good and is a lawless monster.
Why should I care about the article?
Why are you posting leftist garbage?
All Jared was worried about was how to keep the Muslim Traitor's Deep State from leaking. Subsequent events prove he was prescient.
Endorse her for president
He was doing a little self-medicating...
Agree. The site is part of the Washington Post.
The site was part of the WaPo, and so likely a long-term effective CIA asset. But their holding company sold the WaPo (to Bezos) in 2013:
Shindler, as the FP article this thread is based upon shows, is likely still an intelligence asset. That he is the national security analyst for Kushner newspaper really says something. And that he’s going after Kushner now says more.
Meanwhile, here is Laura Ingraham’s website targeting Bannon with heavy innuendo, though no evidence of anything:
The NSA is an out of control Orwellian nightmare.
Obviously it should be abolished and its key leadership should be paraded around in orange jumpsuits as a lesson to the other twenty intelligence agencies.
Of course it is too late for that in the real world—they have every human being, dog and cat in the swamp on their blackmail list at this point.
Bezos owns the Washington Post.
Your INFO helped. I looked up the stock performance and other facts. Those facts show they have NBC TV deals.https://finance.yahoo.com/news/graham-holdings-company-reports-first-123000849.html
Article dates from 2013. Schindler’s “open letter” reads almost like satire, so its authenticity should be questioned. Additionally, his employment at the Naval War College RI thankfully ended in 2014. Anyone reading this thread would probably assume he was still there. I did, until I stopped to check it out. Lots of misleading stuff here, not sure where the value of it resides.
Hes featured regularly on conservative talker Hugh Hewitts popular radio show, and his blog posts are often cited in top Republican consultant Rick Wilsons commentary.
Claude Barfield, a resident scholar at AEI, points to Schindler in his writings on international trade and technology policy."
Interesting. I see they also just named to their board this month Jack Markell, the former governor of Delaware former head of the Democrat Governors Assoc. and National Governors Assoc., who some thought/think would be running for president.
They also did the odd thing of selling Kaplan, with $600M in revenue, for one dollar to Purdue, along with a long-term contract to operate the 38 campuses for them. (Gets them out of the slam for being “for profit”, while still being for profit, I guess.)
You do realize that imbecile is a literal NAZI that got fired for posting dick pics online while screwing around on his wife.
He’s a degenerate amoral POS. Why you are posting his NAZI trigger words(Russian stooge crap) in here, I have no idea.
Why ? it got you thinking didnt it you keep ahead or you fall behind simple basic thought is why i don’t say to believe or disbelieve i know what i believe the more fodder for thought the better understanding of our plight !
A more prudent question would be WHY do they do what they do and when does the hammer fall it has to be more than just being pissed they lost the election !
