I remember how Atwood was popular with the MSM and like when Reagan was in office. I will never read her book but I know enough to see nothing in her dystopian society is even close to reality. The Left is always worried about the country being taken over by Christian fundamentalists. But if one looks objectively at the social trends, the opposite is true. The way things are going, Christians are more likely to be burned at the stake in about 50 years. Meantime, Islam will continue to be praised and elevated. In the short to mid term, the number of atheists will grow, but they will eventually become Muslim converts.

I don't remember ANY Donald Trump supporters talking about this dated, second-rate book after he was elected. The question is pure fantasy. And the fact that Atwood buys into it in her answer shows how desperate she is for attention and some renewed relevance.
