Veteran journalists at CBS are reportedly quite upset with network host Gayle King after she enjoyed a recent yacht vacation with Barack and Michelle Obama in Tahiti.
King, co-host of "CBS This Morning," went on a star-studded vacation with the former president and first lady, Tom Hanks, Bruce Springsteen, and her best friend Oprah Winfrey on billionaire David Geffin's 138-meter luxury yacht, called the Rising Sun.
A source told Page Six on Thursday that CBS journalists are "pissed and raving mad" at King for vacationing with the Obamas while she anchors a news program that covers the White House.
"The ‘Capital J' journalists are pissed and raving mad that she was on a yacht with the Obamas over the weekend. The old-school people were talking about it. She shouldn't be doing that," the source said. "She's an anchor of a news program that covers the White House. You're held to a different standard."
"It's one thing to be friendly. It's another thing to go vacationing on a yacht," the source added.

Interesting considering CBS News’ president (David Rhodes) had a brother (Ben Rhodes) on Obama’s staff as “Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting”
They are concerned that someone in America thought she was an objective reporter covering the White House, and now she has outed herself as a lefty? LOL.
At least King has dropped all pretense of objectivity so she can no longer insult our intelligence.
I’m no Gayle King fan, if there even is such a thing, but I don’t get what they’re upset about.
Everyone knows her network is but one of the Obama Adoration Society. Maybe it’s the Hillary people still angry at the Obama people because she failed the election.

If everyone of 'em vacationed with the Obama's it wouldn't matter to us. CBS News is in the tank for democrats -have been for years. Trying to pretend they're not is a scam meant to pull the wool over our eyes.

This man is disgusting for the reason you cited ... he claims to be a “working man”, but once he cleanses himself of all of that schtick, he’s nothing but a limousine liberal.
Moreover, the guy has always sounded like an angry old man with a razor stuck in his anus. I *never* got what people saw in him ... his East Street Band had some talent, but he is awful.

Were they similarly 'upset' about Ben Rhodes, brother of CBS "News" president David Rhodes, became one of Obama's chief go-to propagandists and liars tasked with the mission of fooling gullible reporters about Obama's plans and actions?

Oh brother, every single employee at CBS would have kissed Obama’s feet to go on that trip with their boy-king president. I agree with linear, they’re just jealous. They’re actually right it should never happen with a real journalist but they threw away their phony impartiality mask a long time ago so who are they kidding with their faux outrage.
