Short clip (40 seconds or so). Got an email a little while ago from a friend who is a storm geek/chaser. Kinda cool.
Whoa! That is terrifying.
I just came through on I-40 North of there on Monday night. I had looked at radar earlier in the day because I have been in some terrible storms and blizzards there. I cross Texas there about 4 to 6 times a year.
Just drove thru the panhandle. The Wx is really weird the last few days. They can grow big out there. Its flat for days.
it gets wild in Texas
That’s a monster!
We had an EF zero come through North Fort Worth a couple of weeks ago and my neighborhood is a mess. There were windows blown out, many, many houses with all the shingles torn off their roves, fences knocked down, cars parked in driveways totaled, and trees destroyed. I spelled out zero on purpose because there was so much damage with just a ZERO force tornado. At 3am my cell phone alarm went off and yelled at me to seek shelter immediately. A few moments later I heard the wind just like in this video and heard things smashing into my house. I was lucky because it crossed the street just two houses before me. The poor neighbors on the other side of the street unfortunately weren’t so lucky.
