A decorated Navy SEAL is under investigation for taking orders on porn sets.
The military is investigating Navy Chief Special Warfare Officer Joseph John Schmidt III for appearing in more than 29 adult films in the last seven years, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported on Friday.
Schmidt, 42, has served for more than 23 years in the military, but has allegedly found time to moonlight as a porn star under the name Jay Voom.
Schmidt has shared the most screen time with his wife, porn star Jewels Jade, but he has also appeared with X-rated actresses Mena Li and Ashden Wells. His portfolio includes titles such as “Apple Smashing Lap Dance” and “Strippers Come Home Horny From the Club.”

My ex banged a SSG, that then became a Warrant Officer One in the parachute rigger field. He was never punished under the UCMJ, and I ETS’ed eventually winning custody of my son.

I contacted every level in my chain of command AFTER ets’ing up to, but not including my CIC- Bush 1.
I got custody of my son and raised him right.
Two people are alive today because of this.
Note- they are not yet out of the woods.
I despise the JAG branch of the US Army more than any entity in ANY branch of the military.
Even if it’s legal I just can’t accept the idea that this is ok. Would I want my kids doing it? NO.

My dad was an officer in the Special Forces back in the 60s and 70s. He and my mom managed to take pretty good care of me and my six siblings without having to resort to moonlighting.
I’m sorry to hear about this family’s predicament, but maybe they could have been more frugal, like my parents were.
I guess if he was getting hummers from the intern at his office it would be OK.

I study the judges of the federal judiciary, and also the DOJ & US Attorneys.
I suspected that former JAG was not quite the "glistening gem" in their resumes that it appeared to be at first glance, due to some of the decisions made in civvie judicial life.
