When hasn’t there been a Russian sub off our coast?
This shouldn’t be news to anyone over 40. There have ALWAYS been enemy subs off both coasts.
I think for a long time after the fall of the Soviet Union, the Russians never really operated their nuclear subs very far beyond their 200-mile Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ). It’s only in very recent years that the Russian Navy finally got the money to properly maintain and upgrade their submarines so they could operate much further from Russian waters.
What is a low-lying military aircraft ?
There’s a Russian sub lurking in Long Beach harbor right now...
If so, is Army Air Corp Captain Wild Bill Kelso tracking it ready to destroy???????????
maybe the meteorite we saw last night splashed?
maybe debris from Japan?
maybe aliens?
probably not a sub unless they’re bringing the boys some fresh cases of Stoli - that’s a possibility
does North Korea even have a sub?
In the first place, an EP-3 is not an anti-submarine plane it’s an electronic warfare plane. In the second place, North Korea doesn’t have a submarine that could stagger all the way to the west coast undetected. Since a CP-140 from Comox was involved I suspect it’s a U.S. sub that happened to be passing through the area and they were taking the opportunity for some ASW practice.
Hurry up California and secede. That way we won’t have to defend you.
My bet is a North Korean sub.
I remember a few years back a missile was fired supposedly from an unknown sub from the California coast heading westward out to sea. At the time it was downplayed and multiple reasons were given for the huge contrail, but the message was clear, that missile could have been fired east from a sub off the California coast into various spots in the U.S. just as easily as aimed harmlessly west into the ocean. I am glad patrols are being done in hopes of deterring that eventuality, as Lard a$$ Kim Jong Un, or Crisco Kim, is unstable enough to try something like that.
Could be Chinese.
