Mary Clancey thought she was overweight because of her penchant for French fries and other starchy foods. Her family doctor teased her about too much snacking at the Pottsville Boscov's fudge counter where she worked.
Both were wrong. Inside the once-spritely grandmother was a cancerous tumor the size of, well, a whole other person 140 pounds.

Wow! Seems incredible.
Saw a video that showed the tumor - it’s unbelievable.
She needs a new doctor!!! How did Dr miss this??
It does seem incredible. How could a tumour the size of a human being fit inside what she thought was just belly fat? Tumors must be dense and weigh quite a bit. Unreal.
When I asked him how?
He said, divorce.
I’ve heard it said that Americans are “camera-ready.” This little old lady is a perfect example. Thank God for her doctors. She has a new lease on life!
I’m a pathologist and have diagnosed numerous ovarian tumors, benign, malignant and in between. There is no way this large a tumor is malignant as the story says for the simple reason that a malignant ovarian tumor would have spread and killed her long before it could get that big. I have seen benign ovarian tumors in the 50-60 pound range but nothing like what is reported here. Amazing.
Had to have its own blood supply and waste removal, eh? Bet it was hungry all the time.
This is the second story I’ve read about a huge tumor weighing well over 100 pounds, being removed from people that thought they were just fat in the last two months. It used to be that weird stories like this came out of third world countries that don’t have access to doctors.
Some people just don't see doctors, unless they are really hurting. I used to be one of them.
I knew someone, young, more than 20 years ago who had a 35 lb tumor removed. Benign, but big.
I could be wrong, but I still say ... It’s not a tumah!
It's also mentioned here that in addition to the tumor they removed forty pounds of skin!

Dense is her DR.
My mother in law gained considerable weight, but it was over a period of years. I really couldn’t understand it because she did not overeat that I could tell, and she did not eat or drink junk. Turned out she had a tumor that weighed around 40 pounds and they removed it and a lot of skin. She slimmed right down. I thought that had to be a record but she didn’t want to discuss it so I don’t know any details.

So how does that happen Doctor? Why weren't they properly diagnosed and removed by either you or your predecessors?
You do realize of course that statements such as yours add nothing but fuel to the arguments that our medical profession is not only overpaid but unsympathetic to the actual symptoms that the patient may be complaining about and that more government oversight is needed as well as unrestricted lawsuits.........
Big deal. We removed about a 180 lb. tumor from the White House last year.

The poster is a pathologist.

OK, thanks for the correction. Now that doesn't explain the remainder of my statement...........
